Orders

Xin Zhao shook his head vigorously to the points being made by his hooded friend. Her voice had it's way of charm, something which Xin Zhao could not let himself become "too" attentive of, but he was assigned to listen to her orders anyhow.

The woman ahead of him, beautiful, tall, and currently under a temporary spell to appear human, was definitely intelligent on top of deadly, something her type were notorious for.

The wheels in his head finally clicked and began to turn, as her words had made him realize the real reason as to why they had to have this conversation and the whole "act" of finding Katarina and Garen together.

Demacia had known. They'd known about the relationship from the moment Katarina and Garen began to really form this relationship in the woods. While both parties were definitely smart, and Katarina usually had very good intuition and attention, the two had been easily watched over for days.

With all this undercover work, Xin Zhao was honestly amazed by the new wonders of technology. Secret miniture cameras from Piltover made for easy 24 hour surveilance of the entire forest where they reside, allowing close watch from the comfort of one of Demacia's towers miles away. Katarina's every move had become so easy to predict with every camera that an assassin now seemed like a fool's job, easy to catch. It was hard having to listen to Luxanna complain about her brother, however, overhearing her crying and screaming as she watched the cameras, until the guards would have to force her away. She wasn't allowed to watch them anymore, since her own frustration over the event was proving to be more of a distraction than assistance in any way.

With her last necessary words, the cloaked woman slowly backed out of the clearing, a sly smirk upon her lips. Xin Zhao held his impulse to gag at the image of her tongue licking across those lips as a soft chuckle reverberated within her throat. Her parting words left his hair on end, leaving him feel as if he'd been truly internally intruded by her sickening laughter.

As he felt her ominous presence fade, Xin Zhao took a second to shake off the feeling that overcame him. She induced a sort of fear that he imagined how the King had any sense to work with her on this matter.

The intention here, as told to him by Demacia - was a bit sneaky... Xin Zhao had every doubt it would work - Katarina didn't seem the type to twist herself with suspicions, but maybe their informant knew better about the woman they called the The Sinister Blade.

He could feel that Katarina's eyes still watched him, and it had definitely seemed to make an effect. He heard a sigh of - could be indifference, but dare he say fear? -  fill the silence before he heard the trees rustle as she left. He was a bit scared that she would just approach him right after that - she had no reason to not kill him right there.

Though, he thought himself lucky: it seemed that maybe their informant did know how to strike a cord with the red-haired assassin...
