"So are we really going to chug down gallons of orange juice," I asked as I stared at Adrian.
We were laying on our backs, his room always made me feel at home but the floor was always cold for some reason. Adrian lived in the frat house of the University. I didn't bother learning the name of his frat because he didn't seem that much into it anyway. Which made no sense because he joined it all on his own, no secret mysterious invitation nothing.
"Meh." He said looking at me with a look that was uncanny to that of a mischievous puppy.
The bright blue of his eyes looked so adorable at that moment I wanted to grab his face and plant kisses everywhere. But that wasn't a very bright idea. So I stirred a little then turned to face the wall away from his face.
"When will we watch the movie, "I asked him.
"Oh yeah, I had almost forgotten."
"What are we even watching," I asked hoping he wouldn't choose some crappy movie.
"Uhh, I have a wide selection of what are you in the mood for today. "
"Loki... "I said pouting slightly
"Hahaha, I don't get you at all. You love superheroes but you also love Loki. "
"That's because Loki is Bae. And I need Bae. And I could go into depth on how Loki is not a villain but more of a jilted lover type of vengence inflicting anti-hero... "
"Okay okay, Loki it is." He said letting out a soft chuckle.
"If they ever make a Loki movie remind me to first send it by mail then come over after a day or two."
"why. "
"Because the first two days you will be screaming your head off with excitement."
"Well, I mean. . . "
He then switched on some Thor movie but I wasn't even concentrating anymore, because I was feeling slight shivers. Guess playing in the rain wasn't such a good idea. Adrian of course noticed.
"Move closer." He said in a gentle voice.
I immediately scooted towards him, more like wiggled like a worm towards him. He pulled a blanket and placed it over his shoulders pulled me closer to his chest with my back to him and wrapped the blanket around us.
"They're nice and toasty Burrito. "
I let out a nervous chuckle because my heart was moving at an irregular beat. This was normal though we did this kind of thing all the time. But because of the change in... Well... things, feelings were complicating my emotions.
I snuggled closer to him and rested my head on his chest. I could feel his chest-beating with a...
Thump
Thump
Thump.
I felt everything. From the rise and fall of his chest to the brush of his bare hands on my skin. It was electrifying and paranoia-inducing. I slowly took my time to take every single feeling I could, in. It felt like the feeling you get when you eat food for the first time and you need to know how each and every taste blends within the dish.
I felt his arms tighten slightly as he let out a long content sigh. Like this was the most perfect thing. Or at least that's what I was feeling. That sigh was like music to my ears. I was getting an unhealthy obsession with this boy. Surely he would be the death of me. The other thing that frightened me was the thought of rejection he was bound to reject me if he knew how I felt about him. His walls were built of solid titanium and I knew it. I knew it more than anyone.
I burrowed even closer to his chest burying myself in his scent. Gosh, He smelled divine. My eyes were closed so I could properly take in his essence it was like a mixture of earth, dirt and Vanilla. I was feeling a bit intoxicated by the sweet yet masculine aroma. I almost forgot where I was until he cleared his throat.
My eyes shot up so fast I think it looked like I was about to have a stroke. He was staring at me with a smirk on his face.
"Was my kiss that good? "
"What... Wait what.. Psh. Please. "I scoffed.
"So how do you explain what you were doing weirdo. "He laughed.
"I was getting warm. "I said nonchalantly.
"Getting warm.? " He laughed.
"Yes, you did make me dance in the rain just so you know. "
"Oh, so this is how you get warm by using your doggy sniffing senses? "He said raising an eyebrow.
"shut up," I said punching him weakly in the arm.
"Owww ."
"Oh please, it wasn't even that hard. "
At that moment Adrian's roommate Jamie walked in. He didn't act as he noticed us while he rummaged through his school backpack. He was kind of a nerd but the good kind. You know the ones that also had time for a life.
"Hey, Jamie. "I said poking my head out.
"Oh gosh warn a brother, will you?" He said feigning shock.
Guess he hadn't noticed there were two people on Adrian's bed.
"Hey Cee how you doing. "
"Um pretty great you. "
"same old same old. "
"Same old huh, you should go out with me I will change your life for you. "I said winking.
"Haha yeah I would take you up on your offer but I'm not sure what you two are, "he said laughing and looking between Adrian and me.
"We are just friends," Adrian said hugging me to his torso.
"You sure because you two seem a whole lot more than just friends. "
I let out a nervous laugh at that."Suit yourself, man, you don't know what you are missing," Adrian said.
He was doing more harm than good by trying to ' help' because that statement definitely didn't come out outright
"it's okay Jamie, the frat house is full. "I said wiggling my eyebrows.
He laughed so hard he couldn't stop coughing. Adrian didn't get it so he just focused back on the movie.
"Oh yeah, Cee you did on your paper for psychology? "
"Oh shoot." I said jumping out of bed "that thing is due tomorrow. "
"Where is my shoe, Adrian. "
He pointed at the door and I scurried towards it.
"I will bring your clothes later or you can come and get them," I said looking at what I was wearing.
I rushed to him kissed his forehead and whispered "bye" then I kissed Jamie's cheek and yelled "Thanks Jay " As I ran out.
