I am so sorry! It's been too long!!

Two days ahead...

I wake up to the gentle shake of Killian's hand on my arm. Angrily I stir, not wanting to be disturbed from my dream of us two nights ago.

"Emma, time to wake up." He says kissing my forehead. I open my eyes. "It's our first day back."

"Killian, won't people think it's weird that me and you are coming back on the same day?" I ask concerned. I don't want for him to be fired because of me. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if that happened.

"I talked to the administrator, since one of my students-" he paused. "Since you tried to-" he let out a quiet sob. "Kill yourself, I took that time off. I couldn't handle it."

"I'm sorry killian, I am sorry I caused you so much trouble." I say looking down at the dark bedsheets before me. Examining each and every thread that is sewn together to create a sheet of warmth to cover our frail, human bodies.

"Don't you ever apologize. Now, I have to go. Your car is out front and I made breakfast. Bye, love."

"Bye killian."

As he leaves I swing my feet over to one side of the bed. Today isn't going to be easy. To be honest, I am terrified to step a single foot into that school.

Just as I begin to stand up my phone begins to ring.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Emma!"

"Mom!" I cry ecstatic like into the phone. "Why are you calling so early?"

"Killian called me last night, said you two were going back to school today. I just wanted to call to wish you some luck!" Wow, I didn't realize she cared so much. She hasn't called in weeks.

"It's so nice to hear from you, and thanks! I hope it goes well. Kinda scared to see Regina and them."

"You'll do fine, buttercup! I have to go, see you sometime later!"

She hung up. Now it's time to shower, slowly I make my way to the dresser, grab a pair of jeans and a long sleeve shirt.

The hot steam rises into the hair as I finish rinsing out the conditioner. Quickly, realizing I am late, I rush to get my hair dried.

I look at the building before me, in it's familiarity there is an element of horror. Last time I was here, I don't even want to think about it.

"Emma!" The woman at the main office tells me, "Welcome back. Here is another schedule just in case and I hear that your history teacher is back today as well, Mr. Jones."

"Thank you." I say leaving the office and head to Killian's room, I'm late. Surprise, suprise. Nothing is new.

"I know-" I interrupt him as I enter the room. Regina gives me a horrifying glare, yet sympathy is shown in others' eyes. "Welcome back, Emma. I didn't know you were coming back today. You may take a seat right over there." I nod and hesitantly wall past Regina, I can feel her digging holes in the back of my head with her deadly stare.

As usual, I don't really pay attention, he is asking questions about what everyone was doing whilst he was gone, but suddenly it went quiet as I heard footsteps approach me.

"Emma, are you alright?" He asks as I look up. Everything is blurry and I am feeling light headed. I run, knowing exactly what's about to happen.

I make it just in time, I guess being anxious about the day made me sick. Once again I hear familiar footsteps approaching me, yet they aren't Killian's.
