Cursed?

Chapter 6

For the next week or so I stay home "sick". I don't answer any of my phone calls or texts. Through out the day everyone has come by at least twice trying to talk to me,but I don't answer. My mom even turns them away saying that we think I have the flu and that I can't be around anyone. My mom can tell that something more is wrong with me but I refuse to speak to anyone.I just stay in my room with the door locked and my phone turned off.

Its Saturday night if that says anything and i'm doing the usual lay in bed watch tv rutine when suddenly my bed begins to shake. A bright light flashes in front of me and I see four figures though it. The light dims and I can clearly see Jess,Anna,Cassie,and Olivia standing in the middle of my room. "Remind me to never try and teleport all of you at once ever again", Olivia says out of breath. "What are you doing here", I ask. "Well since you have not been to school in a week and you keep ignoring out calls and texts and oh not to mention your mom not letting us in to talk to you I would say this is a very reasonable approach", Jess sasses. They smile and run to me with their arms spread open and dog pile on to me. A chorus of i'm sorrys and I miss you sing out.

"Awww you guys I miss you too i'm just still so confused and hurt and I just don't know what to do",I say to them with a puppy dog face. "We know its difficult we have all been in your shoes",Anna starts but Olivia buts in,"Well tecnically we have never been fought over by vampires and we have never had such special abilities as Violet oh and we have never been hunted for our unique traits"."Okay I think thats enough", Cassie says with a small smile. "Woah girl you really are in a pickle just like a calf in a bull fight", Jess sighs, her simile causes a giggle to escape from me,"We got to get you out of here and cheered up". "And probably should do some training", Anna starts but is again cut off by Olivia,"Yeah probably a good idea and all since she is...ya know...being hunted...by like everything".Cassies gives her a ya done yet/you are going to scare her to death kind of look and she stops. "Well alright but we got to be quiet if my mom knows I snuck out she'd freak". They knodded and Olivia transported us with a little energy boost from me.

Another week passed. The girls had been training me day and night and I was finally starting to make some progress, but not much, Jess says it might be something trying to hold me back from all my power, but than agian Cassie said it might be me holding back that I have inner fears that are keeping me from releaseing the beast, as she called it. Whatever it was I was getting aggrivated. What we did find out is that whenever I got mad or sad my abilities would be stronger. I still have not talked to neither Damian nor Jax, no matter how many times they texted and called and threw pebbles at my window(Yeah they actually tried that). Cassie has been working with me on trying to open up my mind she says that there is a serious block on the memory part of my brain(she finally could read bits of my mind but not all). Jess worked with me on potions, and Olivia helped get my telepotation under control, it seemed every time I tried to teleport I ended up in the opposite place I wanted to be. Anna helped with my telekanisis which was definitly my strongest ability so far, but again I could not control it and I came so close to nearly killing us all(several times).

Honestly though the weeks just started flying by and my mom was geting so worried about me. My grades were dropping, I was always tired, I was never around anymore. My mom confronted me a couple of times asking if I was being bullied or if I was in some kind of gang or cult. I denied everything afraid to tell her about what was actually going on with me.She tried grounding me but every time I would just have Olivia help me teleport out of my room. There was always the suspicion that my mom knew what was going on and was scared for me. I mean I had to have gotten these powers from somewhere, the girls told me it passes through the blood of family.Dad was around less and less and when he was I could hear him and my mom argueing from down stairs. At one point it got so bad that he left and didn't come back for two days. Mom cried and cried and I started seeing less of her too. Eventually she stop asking about me and let me do whatever.

Three months later dad left completly when mom found out he was cheating on her with his 25 year old secritary named Ginger(I know total hoe name am I right). This put her into an even deeper depression. She never came out of her room except to go to work, she would have quit but she knew she still had a daughter to take care of. I felt so bad for her,"This is all my fault", I thought.She would tell me over and over that it wasn't but I knew it was. She tried to act like she was okay but then too I knew she wasn't.

A knock came to the door about 10a.m. on a peaceful sunday morning. Mom had left for church but let me rest. I opened the door expecting Jess to be outside here to pick me up like she did everyday, but instead I came face to face with Jax and Damian right behind him. They pushed me inside and told me to get down, they were here. "Who is they", I ask as they lead me to my room upstairs. "The Forsaken, they found you, pack a bag we're leaving now",Damian demands. "Anndd why should I believe you, this is'nt the first time you've lied to me about them",I say gesturing to Jax, who was peering out the window. "He's telling you the truth Violet now come on we have to get you out of here",Jax says turning towards me. "I can take care of myself",I argue. Damian sighs,"God why do you always have to be so stubborn". "Because I don't like people who lie to me and boss me around", I hiss.

I hear a car door and run to the window. "It's Jess",I say. I head for the door but Damian blocks the door,"You are not going out there",he says. "Watch me", I smirk he then grabs me by the waist before I can get to the handle. I pound on him as a tosses me on the bed. I run to the window and see two men sneaking up behind her. I open the window and yell,"Jess behind you". She turns and acts as if she does not see anything then she looks to me confused. I see the men still standing there."Violet they can turned themselves invisible, I'm not quite sure how you can see them", Damian says also looking confused. I hear a scream and see the men trying to attack her. "They're invisible",I shout. "You got to be kidding me", she says in her accent. She takes the bottle from her neck and blows it in the direction I tell her. Imiadiatly they shreik in pain and fall to their knees. Finally they reveal theirselves unable to concentrate on their visibility. "Come on", Jax says grabbing my arm, in his other hand is my backpack full of clothes.

We run outside to Jess and see that the men are gone. "How did you see them",she says after panting."I don't know probably another hidden ability", I say. "Thank god for it",she says with a half smile."That was close, to close,we need to get yopu somewhere safe",Jax inturrupts. "I know just the place",Jess says. She dials the others and tells them what happened, Damian and Jax do the same for their groups and we head to somewhere secret, somewhere I had never been before and could only have dreamed of.
