Manan ff : The Manager

Manik ( pov ) ( calming himself ) : I have to do this. ....

Saying this, he entered the room. But, to his surprise, it was empty.

Manik was about to leave the room, when he heard Nandini sobbing, badly.

Manik again scanned the room. But, still he was unable to locate Nandini. Moving towards the sofa, Manik looked behind it.

And the thing Manik dreaded the most, caught his eye's.

Nandini was sitting behind the sofa, all scared, with her legs near her chest. Her hair was all messed up and she was sweating profusely.

Kneeling on his legs, Manik instinctively drew her in a hug.

Once in Maniks arms, Nandini couldn't control herself and started crying.

Manik always knew a Nandini, who was matured, calm and composed. But, this side of Nandini, really scared him.

Manik was angry like hell.

Nandini ( in chocked voice ) : woh. ....woh. ...reporter's. ....bahut gaande hai. ....bahut gaande. ....woh kya sab. ....bol. ....

Before she could complete, Manik placed his index finger on Nandini's soft and trembling lips.

Manik : shhh. ....main jaanta hu. .....woh bahut gaande hai! !!!!!.....and don't worry. ....main yahi hu. .....tumhare paas. .....hum saath mil kar unn ki band bajaenge. .....just wait and watch. ....

Rubbing off her tears, Manik looked at Nandini's eyes.

Manik ( mischievously ) : main jis Nandini ko jaanta hu. ....woh mujhe rulana janti hai. .....khud roona nehin. .....so no more crying. ....

Manik ( pov ) ( controlling his anger ) : ab toh koi aur roone wala hai. .....bloody reporter's. .....ek ko bhi nehin chhodunga! !!!!

Nandini just nodded her head innocently, gaining her composer back.

Taking off his coat, Manik coverd Nandini with it.

Once on his feet, Manik took Nandini's hands and made her stand.
Instinctively, Manik placed one of his hand's around Nandini's waist, as if he had to protect her.

On feeling Maniks warm hand around her, Nandini just turned beet red.

Nandini glared at Manik. On the other hand, Manik confusedly replied " what? ????......I need to protect you! !!!!"

Nandini ( pov ) ( questioningly ) : accha? ????

Standing in the lobby, Nandini felt all the pair of eyes starring at her. Whereas, for Manik, he tightened his grip on Nandini, as if she was very important for him.

Fab4 ( pov ) ( in unison ) : when did this happen? ?????

Snapping out of their trance, Fab4 just gaped at them.

Manik ( casually ) : let's go. ....

Cabir : yeah sure. ....

Fab4 just turned to head towards the back gate, when they heard Maniks sharp voice " waha se nehin! !!!!"

They turned to face Manik and witnessed a devilish look.

Cabir ( pov ) : Manik is upto something.....hmm. ....this is going to be fun! !!!!!

Manik : hum main entrance se jaenge! !!!.....woh becchare reporter's. ....humari ek jhalak ke liye kab se khade hai. .....I really don't want to break their heart's! !!!!!.....

Aliya : this is interesting. ....

Mukti ( smiling ) : finally. ....I will get to kick some ass! !!!!!

After hearing Maniks evil plan ,Nandini was back to her normal self.

Nandini ( panicked ) : aap log aisa kuch nehin karenge! !!!!.....ek hafte mein aap logo ka live concert hai. ....media bekaar mein hi iss baat ko breaking news baanaegi. ....

Manik ( pissed off ) : oh really! !!!!.....yeh unn logo ko tum pein comment maarne se pehele socch naa chahiye tha. .....now it is done. .....I WILL MAKE THEM PAY FOR IT! !!!!

Nandini could feel Maniks muscles clench around her, in anger.

Before Nandini could argue further, she found herself standing in front of the crowd with Fab4 around her as a shield. ....

The flash lights of the cameras and the sound of the reporters, again started haunting Nandini. ...

Nandini would have disappeared from there, if Manik had not been holding her hand, firmly.

Manik ( calmly ) ( smirking ) : you know what. ....today you guy's have proved. ....ki aap reporter's ke paas koi kaam nehin hota! !!!!

At this, the reporters started smiling their fat cat smile.

Manik ( smiling ) : yeh joh ladki mere paas khadi hai ( he looked at Nandini and then at the crowd ). ...to be precise. ....jiska haath pakkad ke main khada hu. ....isse toh aap sab jaante hai naa. .....Nandini Murthy. .....joh ki peechle panch saal se meri manager hai! !!!!.....of course aap log isse jante hai. ....kyon. ....aap mein se toh kayi saare reporter's ne inn ka interview bhi liya hai. ....aapne newspapers ke liye. ....if you remember. ....

The reporters where busy writing and recording the whole scene.

Whereas, Nandini tried to figure out, what Manik wanted to say.

Manik ( still smirking ) : jab yeh meri manager thi. ....tab toh aap mein se kisi ne usske credibility pein sawaal nehin uthaya! !!!!.....aur aaj. ....jab yeh meri girlfriend hai. ....tab aap sab ko usski eligibility pein bada interest aa raha hai! !!!.....I mean. .....are you kidding me! !!!!

Mukti ( added with a smirk ) : actually galti inn ki nehin hai Manik. .....innke family background ki hai. ....joh ki inn he sirf ladkiyon se sawaal pouch na aur unn pein comments paas karna sikhati hai! !!!!!

Aliya : in that case. ....we being the new generation should change things! !!!.....Manik se bhi uttna hi explanation maangna chahiye. ....jitna ki Nandini se poucha gaya! !!!!.....after all. ...they both are in a relationship. ....together! !!!!

Cabir : true enough. ....Manik se bhi toh pouch naa chahiye. ....is he eligible for Nandini? ????.....kya woh usse life time ke liye khush rakh sakta hai? ????

Manik : well. ... Nandini and I are in a relationship! !!!.....and she is officially my girlfriend. ....iss ke baad agar aap usske character pein point kar rahe hai. ....toh aap mere character pein bhi point kar rahe hai !!!!!....so. ....don't try to mess with my family. ....because you have to deal with me first. ....and thank you so much. ....

Looking at Nandini, with one of his childish smile, Manik said " let's go "

The sea of reporters made way for Manik, Nandini and Fab4, without uttering a single word.

Manik and Fab4 were really happy about it. Whereas, Nandini just disapproved.

Though Nandini was thankful to Manik and Fab4, but then, their behaviour with those reporters were highly unacceptable.

Nandini just knew, getting back to her office, she would have to do some serious damage control.
