THE MAN IN THE GREY SUIT

Getting to know Him

In the morning when she awoke her son had gotten worse. His temperature was now sky high, he was breathing hard and sweating. So Miranda called in work sick , so she could take Adrian to the doctor. When she got there she was admitted at once  and she was given medication for the baby.

Later that day Miranda decided to take Adrian to get some fresh air. After an hour and a half he got fussy so she took him to the nearest coffee  shop. The coffee shop was filled and the tables were packed except for one table where there was a man sitting in casual dress and his head bent down at the table. She took a seat next to him.  Something about him just seemed fimilar. "Is this seat empty?"  The man at the table looked up. THERE he was sitting at the table ( the man in the gray suit!) When he saw her the first thing he did was take a good look at her and flashed her one of his hypnotic smiles and then he opened his mouth to say. " Is that your son." Miranda contemplated weather or not she should answer him. "How rude of me I should've introduced myself, I'm Adrian and you are?" This time she answered in a small voice. "I'm Miranda." So tell me about yourself Miranda. She told him the  how she had been left alone by her immature ex- boyfriend and that her son was all she had .

He seemed to be a great listener. When it was his term to speak he seemed to be  very intelligent and seemed to know what he was speaking. She sat  there listening to him and saying to herself, "I never want this moment to end." Then he looked into her eyes and lay is hand on hers. He smiled at her and this smile was like no other. This smile made her feel safe and secure. (Something in which she hadn't felt in years).

I wasn't like the look he gave her when he stared at her in the restaurant this was different. It made her feel special like him and her were the only people on the earth and they were in their own magical world.

RING. ... ring

His phone starts ringing, tearing her away from her world. The walls of her day dream came crashing down on her like the Titanic. "I'm so sorry I have to take this."  "It's okay take it, it could be important." She replied trying not to sound disappointed. After about a minute he returns to the table and has a grim look on his face. "I have to go now, it was nice talking to you." With that he rushed off she could hear his engine speeding away. As her heart broke. She now knew what he must've felt like when she left him those two nights. Her heart dropping to the floor. In her defense she had to be with her baby boy.
