This story will probably have some coarse language - be warned!

A loud explosion rang out through the trees. In a clearing, a determined force opposed a flock of Pidgeots. The bird pokemon flew together, in two arrowhead formations, aiming towards the group of five trainers who opposed them. However, they never made it, only to be shot down by two pillars of fire released from two powerful fire types who stood in front of their trainers. The wild flying pokemon scattered, their formation dissolved by the searing attacks. The group of five advanced, pushing towards the imposing mountain range ahead, in within, the towering mountain that rose above all else. It was called, quite adequately, Dark Rock, which was fairly accurate of the volcanic rock which made the monstrous tower of rock. It was the objective of the outskirters, the group which pushed into unknown territory, to navigate the treacherous mountain range. The outskirters were an assembled group of capable trainers, equipped to push forward into the rugged terrain beyond the established regions.

"Nice work." One of the trainers said, directing it towards the trainers of the fire types who had dismantled the Pidgeots attack. The group advanced pushing through the last few meters of forest unopposed, until they emerged onto a rocky plain, bordering the mountains ahead. The group halted their progress, and one of them quickly took in the immediate terrain in front of them, before glancing at the time.

"I reckon we can navigate this before dark. Then we can rest at the foot of the mountain." The group nodded, and pressed forward onto the rocky expanse, leaving the forest behind them. Almost immediately they noticed a change in temperature, the rocky plain exposed to the wind. They continued to press forward, until the leading trainer immediately halted the group. They stopped, and on command from the leading trainer, they formed a tight circle. All of them readied their pokeballs, prepared to defend themselves. Suddenly, hail began to fall, sparsely at first, but then thickly. The trainers tried to shield themselves, as they were buffeted by the sudden change in weather.

"That's not normal hail!" The leading trainer shouted anxiously.

"Snow warning." The second agreed, nodding. Suddenly, a shattering roar rang out through the howling wind, and the trainers unconsciously took a step backwards. Another roar rang out over the field, and, from the mountain range rose a fearsome pokemon. Amongst the storm, they could only make out bleak form, primarily black and red. Around them, the trainers noticed several Abomasnow rise from the plain, previously concealed. The huddle of trainers, realizing the dire situation that they were in, quickly called forward their pokemon in an unanimous decision. Surrounding their huddle were 30 pokemon, each trainer having called forth all six of theirs. As the ominous form approached them, two of the trainers turned to face it, whilst the other three prepared to defend themselves from the Abomasnow. But now, moving between each of the ice types were Sneasel. As the three trainers facing the oncoming pokemon prepared to command each of their pokemon to unleash an attack, their attention was diverted to the oncoming pokemon, which had arrived above them, releasing yet another shattering roar. Almost immediately after releasing the shattering cry, the pokemon released a barrage of dark pulses towards them. Immediately the pokemon of the trainers went to counter, but were overcome with what seemed like ease from the dark form above them. Six of their pokemon were thrown back, and before they could recover, the form released yet another move, a red blade of energy which mowed down even more of the trainers pokemon. A series a flashes recalled the fallen pokemon, and the group tried to run, their remaining pokemon releasing attacks at the oncoming ice pokemon and a futile attempt to slow down the menacing form. One of the trainers noticed an ominous flash of red behind them, and screamed a warning to the other trainers, before it carved a path towards them. They dived aside, and continued an a group of two and three. As the group of two ran, they screamed a warning at their fellow trainers, who didn't react in time, and a devastating blast from the destructive pokemon sent the small group flying. One of the duo who hadn't been caught in the blast moved to assist, but was stopped by the other.
