Akward Birthday Dinner

"Sean you here" I asked walking over to the tree where Sean wanted to meet me
"Up here" he called I looked up and saw him sitting in the tree I laughed
"I'm not coming up there" I crossed my arms
"Ok" he sighed jumping down I laughed
"Happy Birthday" he said hugging me
"Sh" I whispered I laughed as we pulled back
"What it's not like Every one doesn't already know" he replied
"I know I know just I don't like celebrating" I whispered
"Well even though you won't want it I got you something" he replied putting his hand in his front pocket and pulling out a ring and holding it up it was a gold ring with the words his beauty written on it

"Sean its beautiful but where the beast part" I asked he held up his hand and on his ring finger on his right hand wad a sliver one reading her beast
"I love it" I replied taking it and putting it on my middle finger left hand he looked at me
"What's that" he asked pointing to a gold chain hanging around my neck
"Oh it's a necklace" I replied taking them both out since I normally hide them
"What are they for" he asked worried
"Ok there not from boy friends this one is for Skye and I" I replied

He laughed
"Well since it's your birthday you wanna come over for dinner tonight" He asked I looked at him
"Family dinner at your place how did that work out last time" I asked crossing my arms
"come on please I wont even tell them it's your birthday"
"Fine" I rolled my eyes

Later that night I got dressed in nothing fancy because its me
My outfit was a marvel sweater, black ripped jeans, red Beanie and matching red vans then i made my way down I said goodbye to Skye, Josh, and Mr. Hart and yes I still call him Mr. Hart
I told Sean I would drive there he didn't fuss
I pulled up to the house and saw another car in the driveway I shrugged getting out and I made my way up to the house knocking on the door
"Coming" Sean yelled followed by the door opening
"Finally your here" he said pulling me into a hug
"Yeah" i sighed as he pulled back
"What's wrong" he asked i shrugged he nodded as he moved aside and I walked in
"Who's here" I questioned the other car in the drive way
"About that" he started as we entered the door way of the kitchen dinning room and saw his parents talking with my dad I quickly moved out of the doorway pulling Sean with me
"Why is he here" I whispered
"I don't know he was here when I got home" Sean replied
"Why didn't you tell me" I asked
"I thought you wouldn't come" he replied
"You're right"  I said
"Sean is that you" his mum asked he looked at me like please
"Fine" I mouthed
"Yeah mum its me" Sean replied
"Well lets go the food is done" she called
"Lets go" he said grabbing my hand my pulling me into the doorway and toward the table
"Hello Samantha" his father said not looking at me
"Happy birthday" his mother said
"Thanks" I replied looking at Sean he shrugged
"That's right it is your birthday today" Toby said I nodded
"Please sit the foods getting cold" Mrs. Matthews said I nodded and took my seat next to Sean
Mrs. Matthews made this amazing meatloaf with things like mash potatoes and corn on the cob
The adults talked while Sean and I had a small side conversion
"So Samantha I heard you and your friends went up to the vacation house" Toby said looking over to Sean and I
"Oh yeah" I replied
"I forgot to ask how was was trip" Mr. Matthews asked Sean looked at me then back to his dad
"Good we ate went in the pool and had a bon fire" Sean replied I nodded
"When do you plan on going back" Toby asked I shrugged
"Probably when it snows there was an awesome hill for sledding" I said
"Oh and snowmobiling" Sean replied with a mouth full of food
"And snowboarding" I replied
"I must say Samantha I didn't know your father was Toby we've been friends for ages" Mr. Matthews said I nodded looking down Mrs. Matthews noticed I wasn't in the mood so she but in
"I think its time for cake" she said getting up and walking out of the room
"Cake what" I asked
"Sean told us you enjoyed harry potter so happy birthday" she said putting a killer harry potter cake on the table and my jaw dropped

"This is awesome" I said as she lit the 1 and 7 candles after them singing happy birthday I blew out the candles
While we were enjoying the vanilla cake the Matthews gave me a birthday present which were all 4 house scarfs then Toby even gave me something it was a gift card to a book store since I love reading

I kissed Sean goodbye at the end of the night and went back home to the lodge where another party in the reck room was waiting for me we played music and danced we also ate
I got headphones from Noah, some new beanies from Kaylee, flannel shirts from Ben, books from Skye, converse from Dannielle, and a paying job at the lodge from Mr. Hart since I just worked before
This was the best birthday in a while but what Mr. Matthews said still came back to me
"We've been friends for a while" did that means when he was a drunk and did he know about me
