After styling my hair and throwing on some makeup after a shower, I walked into the living room wearing sweatpants and a tank top. I walked up to Jayce's door and knocked. He opened it with a mushy smile.
"Yes?"
"Uhm I need to know attire."
He looked up to pretend thinking, "A bathing suit."
I looked at him with a confused look. Now, let me get one thing straight, I knew I was here minorly for me not eating--but I was not s u p e r thin. I did have hip bones, but I wasn't too much underweight, I was like a hundred and ten pounds. Could be worse.
"A-A bathing suit?" I laughed, "What? Are we going to the beach?"
"Yes."
I bit my bottom lip, "Alrighty."
I walked back to my room and grunted as I searched for my bathing suit. I had curled my hair and beat my face for absolutely nothing, the beach was going to ruin all of my efforts. I grabbed a suit from my drawer and continued to dress myself. As I stood in front of the mirror, my frustration turned to fear. Although my body had become appealing, to me, it would never been good enough for the public. I threw on a semi-sheer coverup and hoped I could just stay away from the water. I tossed on my running shoes, and put my hair into a ponytail to somewhat preserve all my hard work. Jayce knocked on my door.
"Come in," I said as I folded my clothes.
"Hey-Why aren't you ready?"
"I am ready," I stared at his gorgeous body as it stood in front of me.
"Oh Autumn, have you never been to a beach? You were a swimsuit there."
"I haven't," I laughed, "And I know that. I'm wearing one, just under..."
He put out his arm offering me to intertwine mine with his, "M'Lady."
I laughed and wrapped my arm in his and we walked out to the car. He opened my door for me, following my eyes with mine until the door divided our eyesight. He sat next to me, scrolling and typing on his phone.
"You can't socialize when you're constantly on your phone Jayce."
He rolled his eyes, "Please baby, this is work."
I rolled my eyes toward him to mock him and then laid my head on my hand, as my elbow rested on the side of the car. My eyes laid shut, softly opening to give me glimpses of passing scenes sporadically. After some time, my head fell as Jayce opened the door. He laughed as I blinked my eyes in confusion. I punched his arm in anger while also laughing at my own humility.
"What was that for Westbrooke?"
"You're always sleeping in the car, so I thought this is how I'd wake you up to show you I don't appreciate it."
"I didn't mean to be offensive, you're just boring."
He stared at me blankly, "I am not boring."
"Then why do I fall asleep in the car?"
I stood in front of the car and to defend his masculinity, he pounded the side next to me so his arm was level with my eyes and smiled to show his pearly white teeth.
"I'm gonna show you how much fun I am."
"Today?"
"And the next day, and every day after that."
We started walked towards the beach, and immediately I heard the jaws of every heterosexual female drop, and as I looked around many stood still. We laid down our towels in a spot by the shore, and as soon as he laid down, women started coming up to him.
"Hi, I'm Caroline. You are?" She squealed while slightly hopping up and down to shake her mediocre boobs.
"Dr. Mathew Jayce Westbrooke, nice to meet you," He put out his hand for her to shake.
Oh and did she shake his hand. She popped a bubble from the gum she was chewing in her nasty mouth and when it popped I swore I saw at least ten unborn children fling from her mouth.
"Ooo, Doctor. Well doctor my symptoms are that I'm really... hot," She ran her nails up his chest.
He laughed, "I'm not that kind of doctor sweet cheeks."
She sat between him and I, "Mmmhmm? Tell me more."
"I'd love to Caroline, can I have your number?"
"You could," She paused and turned to me, "Or us three could go up to my hotel room."
I looked at her and burst into laughter, "Oh my god! Is this a joke? Am I being punked right now?"
Jayce laughed along with me and Caroline sat with a dumb look on her face, "Caroline. Baby. I'll call you."
She rolled her eyes and walked away. Jayce stared at her as she walked away, and then turned back to me.
"Did she even have an IQ? She didn't even give you her number. And you were attracted to.. To that?! Damn Jayce, I didn't know you had such low standards."
"It's all in good fun, I never would've called her. It's just funny to watch em freak out when they find out I'm a doctor."
I rolled my eyes, "That's gross."
He cocked his head at me, "Oh come on. It's not my fault she came onto me-"
"That's not what's gross," I laughed, "What's gross is that if I wasn't here you probably would have gone up to her room."
He sarcastically laughed back at me and placed his right hand on my left thigh, "You don't know me very well, but I don't sleep with many women I meet in the early afternoon on a Miami beach."
My skin shivered and all my hairs stood up from his touch, but I concealed my excitement with more criticism, "Mhm, tell me more," I mocked.
