Bob's POV
To say I was nervous was an understatement.
I was so unbelievably overwhelmed that I wanted to chicken out a couple times.
I don't usually do the 'date' thing. I mean, the last time I went on a date was roughly 2 years ago.
This felt different though.
"Hey!" She squeals as she swings open the door.
"Hey, Gen." Her eyes light up a little at my nickname and I feel a little more relaxed.
I find myself gawking at her and I awkwardly cough and snap my head to the opposite direction.
She giggles. "Let's get going then!"

Genevieve's POV
"Hello. What would you like to order?" The waitress asks, smiling.
"Can I please have the fettuccine?" I ask and she nods.
"Me too please." Bob adds and chuckles.
"Sure thing. We'll be with you in a jiff!" She trots off as I giggle at her enthusiasm.
Most waitress are grumpy little-
"Hey, Gen?" His raspy voice interrupts my judgements.
"Yeah?" I turn my head to his direction and lock eyes.
His eyes are a beautiful shade of brown, with specks of dark chocolate scattered around the orbs. His freckles define his gorgeous facial structure.
"Genevieve?" His hand waves in my face and I shake my head and blush a deep crimson red.
"Sorry." I giggle in embarrassment.
"Did you hear my question? Or do I have to go over it again?" He teases and chuckles.
"Can you repeat it please?" I shyly ask, playing with my fingers. He laughs, making me smile.
"Do you live by yourself?" He asks.
"Yeah." I reply, smiling a small smile.
"Oh." He starts. He opens his mouth to say something else but reluctantly closes it.
"Go on." I nod. He looks confused for a second but inhales deeply.
"When was the last time you went on a date?" He quietly asks. I chuckle and I'm quite hesitant to answer.
He notices this and quickly takes back his question, apologising multiple times.
"It's fine Bob." I smile.
"No it isn't. Who even asks that type of question on a first date?" He scoffs at himself.
"Bob." I place my hand on his hand that is violently rubbing his temple. "Stop."
He stops and looks at me before reluctantly grabbing it. "Sorry."
"Stop saying sorry!" I laugh, running my thumb across the top of his hand.
"Sorry- I mean.." He groans.
"I haven't been on a date in a..." I trail off, breathing deeply. "Long, long time."
He looks at me and frowns a little. I silently pray he doesn't ask anymore questions.
Fortunately, the waitress brings out meals to the table and I internally sigh in relief.
"Thank you." We show our gratitude and she walks off with a smile.
We dig into our meals with a couple of laughs throughout the dinner.
I end up finding out a lot of stuff from him and I'm genuinely intrigued; wanting to find out more.
I spill a couple of beans about me but not too much. He can't know a lot.
We finish our meals with a tall glass of water and sigh. We end up laughing out of no where and I smile, realising the good night out I've had.
"You're really beautiful, Genevieve." He states.
I feel my face redden and my eyes widen. "I- Thank you."
He just smiles in response and I feel... Content.
"Genny?" A voice interrupts the small moment between Bob and I and I look up.
"Where have you been!" The voice exclaims. I feel my face drain and I look at bob who has an confused expression.
"Who's this?" He asks and I don't respond.
"Genny? Hey!"
"I-Uh." I stutter and look down.
"I'm Bob." Bob averts the attention to him and throws concerning looks towards me.
"I'm Dion," Dion replies and looks at me. "Genevieve's boyfriend."
