Genevieve's POV
It seems as if Bob is coping with the information about Dion and I. I just hope he won't think of me differently or let Dion and I's weird relationship get in the way between our friendship and work.

The sound of the news emitting off the TV was at a loud volume for some odd reason. I frowned and picked up the remote, pressing down on the volume button in hopes to turn it down.

I grinned when a food commercial popped on the screen. I do feel kind of hungry.

"What's in the fridge nowadays?" I ask myself, lazily walking to the food holder.

I yank it open, eager to find something delicious. With no luck, I frustratingly shut it and walk to the pantry. Luckily, there is a packet of 2 minute noodles and I squeal with excitement.

I suddenly hear a knock and I confusingly frown. Who could be here this late?

Mind you, it's only 7pm - not that late but I don't have much friends to turn up here at this hour?

I look through the peep hole and sigh. I open the door slowly and place my hand on my hip.

"What's this, Dion?" I ask, leaning against the door frame.

"If it had been anyone else, they would've seen my baby girl with just an oversized top and underwear." He scolded and pushed through.

I snort and close the door, "Should I be happy then?"

"Yes, baby, you should. Are you hungry?" He asks and sits on the counter.

I swat him off as he chuckles. "That's just bad manners, D."

"Loosen up. Do you want me to whip up something for you?"

"No, I was just about to boil some noodles."

He chuckles and rips the packet out of my hand. "Let me cook for you."

"Just go Dion." I sigh and look at him. He shakes his head and proceeds to the cupboard.

"Dion." I say firmly. He ignores my calls and continues to look for whatever.

I walk up to him and poke his arm. He still doesn't respond and I'm starting to get agitated.

"Dion, please." I whisper slowly, giving up. I plop on the seat beside the bench. He looks at me and leans across the counter to grab my hand.

"What's up, Gen?" I look at him. He's always been handsome and a lady-killer. I've just never liked him like he does.

"Can you please leave me, Dion." I whisper, looking down. I always feel bad when I turn him down. I never like seeing him upset nor do I want my mother upset.

"Gen," he runs his hand up and down my arm. "I'm sorry for annoying you. I haven't seen you in a long time."

I don't answer and he sighs. "I'll just cook you something and I'll leave okay?"

That makes me feel extra bad.

"No," I say. "You can stay." I say getting up.

He smiles weakly and nods. I smile back with little to no urgency and shuffle over to the couch. Before I know it, I'm asleep.

---

"Genny baby." Someone calls. I groan and shuffle around. A hand starts to shake me and I slowly open my eyes.

A wide smile appears in front of me and I jolt up. "You're still here?"

He frowns but picks up his expression and nods.

"Sorry, that might've came out a little harsh." I run my hand trough my hair and look up at him.

"It's okay, Gen." He throws a warm smile at me and I feel even worse. "Your dinner is ready!"

I got up as quickly as he could blink and run over to the counter. He chuckles as I start devouring the meal in front of me.

"Is it good?" He manages to get out since he continues to laugh at my eagerness.

I moan and nod. His eyes widen and so does mine.

I gulp down the mouthful and I shake my head furiously. "Don't think like that, D!"

"How do you know what I was thinking?"

"Because I know you!" I exclaim and his eyebrows raise.

"Yes you do," he trails and shuffles to me. "So why don't you trust me?"

"What do you mean?" My eyebrows knit together and I place my fork down.

"I can see everything, Gen. I've known you for so long - and I've been in love with you since God knows. But I see your constant hesitation and unhappy expressions."

"Stop, Dion."

"I love you, Gen. Please begin to see past all of my flaws or whatever that seems to stop you from giving your all to me. I will wait for you, and I'll never let you go."

He gets up off the seat and kisses the top of my hair.

"Dion." I call but he's already out the door. I sigh and rub my hand through my hair. My phone lights up and I groan.

Should I check it? Or am I done for the day?

Nah, I'm so done.

I plop on my bed and shut my eyes immediately. What a night.
