It was 10: 50 when her father, Corvus grabbed her arm and apparated her to the station, her mother and brother arriving a second later. Her brother kissed his mother on the cheek goodbye and went off to his friends, probably to brag about all the stuff he got and how his parents had to make the Undetectable Extension charm on his suitcase bigger
Merlin, if that boy isn't spoiled, then I'm the Queen of bloody England.
Betty thought bitterly, scanning the station for her friends. Her entire family, other than her and her mother, had dark brown hair that was sleek and shiny, hers and her mothers were a shiny blonde that curled gently. Her mothers was currently tied back in a tight bun at the base of her neck. She was extremely tall and thin with a very severe face that was constantly glaring at someone. Her father, like her mother, was also extremely tall and severe, but was also well built and towered over just about everyone he met. People were instantly intimidated by him, as he looked like one flick of a finger could send someone flying twenty feet into the air.
Betelgeuse and her mother both looked incredibly similar, same buttery blonde curls and baby-blue eyes with high cheek bones and a v-shaped jaw, however, Betty's eyes had a more gentle, softer look to them, whereas her mothers had a sharp, cold look, her mothers face looked somewhat guant, and betty's skin had was more bright and radiant. Her brothers looked more like clones of her dad. The main difference between her and her family in looks was her height, she was a measly 4,11 and nobody knew why, as when 'proper' purebloods married, there was a charm that meant if you cheated, or attempted to cheat on your spouse, you instantly died.
she always thought it was because of a lack of love.
As Betty scanned the station, her eyes finally found James Potter, Sirius Black, Peter Pettigrew, and Remus Lupin, along with James' parents standing over to the right of the platform. She grinned and made to move towards them, but a strong hand suddenly shot out and grabbed her shoulder, pulling her into the shadows and spinning her around roughly. Her father grabbed her chin in a tight hold and jerked her head upwards to look him in the eyes.
"You listen to me, you filthy girl" He whispered furiously. "Your mother and I have been awfully good to you, putting up with you for so long. It's bad enough that you got sorted into Hufflepuff, and I am nearly through with you disgracing our proud family name. You're lucky you have your brothers who can pick up some of your slack and clean up after you, keeping our names respectable."
Betelgeuse tried to pull away, but her father's grip on her face only tightened, surely going to leave a bruise, as he pulled her closer. "I can pretend" he continued slowly, "that your beliefs are just a phase that you are going through, but I cannot, and will not, allow you to befriend mudbloods, half-breeds, and filth!"
"They are not filth!"Betelgeuse ground out through clenched teeth. If she had to listen to any more of this pure-blooded mania, she was going to be sick, or have a mental breakdown.
"They are filth if I say they are!" Corvus barked out. "If I hear that you have been... consorting with any one of the type, especially those blood-traitors-"
"Do you mean the Potters?" Betty interrupted icily, her eyes cold and sharp.
Her father leaned in close so that their faces were only centimeters apart. "I'll make you wish you were never born, girl." He threatened in a deadly voice.
"Too late for that," Betty responded in the same deadly tone.
Corvus lifted his chin and sniffed haughtily, releasing Betelgeuse and giving her a little shove, which sent her stumbling a few steps backward.
"Get out of my sight."
Betty bowed deeply and mockingly said, "My pleasure, your Excellency."
She then gathered her stuff and turned around on her heel, brushing her hair over the already bruised side of her face and stalking away towards her friends, an unreadable expression on her face. In doing so, she missed the murderous look her father sent at her back.
