The newbie at sky high

I walked through the colorful halls of sky high, the school for superheroes. It's my second year at this school but everyone is still afraid of me, this is what I get for being the son of a villain I guess. I put the 'hero' text books in my bright red locker and grabbed out my money I was gonna use to buy lunch or in other words slop.

I walked to an empty table in the busy cafeteria, usually I would sit with my friends but they were in a little bit of a vacation at the moment. The food wasn't fantastic but it was something. Besides work,I never really leave the school grounds so I don't know what good food tastes like anyway. As I stuffed the food in my mouth I noticed someones tray hit the table across from me. I looked up to see someone with blue hair draped across the left side of her......his..... person's face. they also wore a blue shirt with a leather jacket over the top. they seemed pretty contempt eating the food, I felt like I should remember her or him from somewhere but I can't t put my finger on it "you don't seem to happy.something on your mind" I almost didn't even notice they were talking to me 'do they know how I am' I looked straight into the eyes of the person " your not scared of me" I said like an idiot. the person simply swallowed there food and said " should I be." I looked back down at my food. However it was made a small noise before laughing "don't worry Warren I'm not gonna hurt you"

I sat there with a grin on my face, they were nice but I still haven't found out their gender yet. It doesn't help that there name is Alex 'damn gender neutral names' We continued talking but the sound of laughter soon stopped us " well well well if it isn't flame head and no powers" this insult unsurprisingly came from the two bullies of the school, Speed and Lash. I guess even superhero schools aren't immune. they both started laughing while making fun of Alex's hair. I've just learned to ignore these two then retaliate, Alex stood up and looked at them with a serious face which they proceeded to make fun of "oh is mister no powers gonna fight" Speed ran around them with his super speed. Speed suddenly stopped in his path and Alex punched him in the face causing Speed to fall onto the floor clutching his nose in pain. Lash stretched his arms out to hit Alex. Alexa just dodged and something appeared in their hand. It was a gun. Alexa grabbed him by the collar and held the gun to his head " now you can leave me alone or I can blow 20 rounds through your skull" All the students in the Cafeteria were surrounding us. ' Miss Alexa Frasera come to the office immediately'  all the other students all seemed to start chatting and mumbling but I didn't care at least the big question was answered ' it's a girl. I'm glad that's cleared up' I thought. Alex lowered the gun and sighed " Shit"

the door to the office opened and Alex stepped out looking tired, she's been there for more then two hours " how'd it go?" I asked. she looked surprised " ah didn't expect you to still be here" I stopped leaning against the wall and walked up to her "so how bad?" she handed me a piece of paper that said she had a lot of lunch time detentions "to bad can't sit with me at lunch" we both laughed and headed to the bus stop.
