Attacked Part 4

He went through some questions with Lauren and her parents. Y/N sat on the bed quietly fiddling with Laurens fingers that poked out of her cast as Mike and Clara were talking outside with the doctor.

I'm sorry I failed you

I promised to keep you safe and I couldn't

Y/N bowed her head and refused to make eye contact with Lauren. She let go of Laurens hands and made a move to stand up.

Look at me.

Y/N!

Y/N looked at Lauren and saw nothing but love in her eyes.

"I love you" Lauren croaked with a grimace of pain.

"Don't talk baby" Y/N cooed hopping back onto the bed handing Lauren back her water.

Lauren took a large gulp and hissed when she swallowed.

Lauren couldn't reply as her parents came back into the room.

"You can go home at the end of the week" Clara told her daughter as she sat back down beside her. Mike stood behind his wife glaring at Y/N

"How are you feeling? Do you want us to stay with you over night?" Lauren weakly shook her head and looked over to Y/N.

"She isn't staying with you, I will" Mike told his daughter.

"Dad" Lauren croaked.

Don't talk, it's okay. I'll visit tomorrow

"Y/N ... stays" Lauren gasped feeling a tightening in her chest.

"Take a deep breath" Y/N said taking a step closer to Lauren.

"Stay away from my daughter, I don't want you anywhere near her" Mike screamed.

"It's your fault she's here" Y/N hung her head.

"Sir, with all due respect, you can't stop us from seeing each other." Y/N said looking Lauren straight in the eye, Y/N smirked making her eyes flash yellow.

"I'll always find you. Don't EVER doubt that" Y/N kissed Lauren firmly on the lips only to have her collar pulled and she found herself on the floor, Mike towered over her.

Y/N growled as she stood up, face to face with Laurens father, Lauren watched as her eyes flashed from brown to yellow and back again, as if she was fighting her wolf.

Beastie Lauren croaked, Y/N froze and bowed her head making a small whimpering sound.

"I love you" Y/N walked over to her girlfriend and kissed her hand.

Tell them. I want them to know.

"Are you sure?" Lauren nodded her head slightly.

"From the beginning?" Y/N asked her eyes focused on nothing but her girlfriend.

Yes. From my foot to today. But leave Ally out, she doesn't need her secret spread.

Did you ask your parents if you can tell?

"I did, when I first met you that day. They are happy"

"Will you two stop it!? Stop being crazy. Leave my daughter's side at once" Mike yelled. Y/N stood from the bed and gritted her teeth.

Lauren firm grip on her wrist calmed her down.

"Down" Lauren commanded her voice feeling a little stronger. Y/N once again bowed her head and sat on the chair beside Lauren's bed.

"Lauren what is going on?" Clara asked her daughter as mike paced behind her.

"It hurts Lauren to speak, if I may, I can speak for her" Y/N said politely.

"My daughter speaks for herself" Mike said loudly. Y/N ignored the glare Mike was sending her and began to speak.

"I know this is going to be hard to believe but I am a Werewolf and Lauren is my mate. We can connect telepathically with one another; I can feel her presence in my body as she can feel mine." Y/N paused for a second and held Laurens hand.

"I am sorry for how I acted in the waiting room earlier this evening. I was focused in my own little world straining to listen to your daughters faint heartbeat. It was rude of me and I apologise. Her heart stopped once, while I was in the gift shop buying her flowers and her teddy bear" Y/N smiled when Lauren squeezed her bear.

"She saved my life" Lauren told her parents.

"The day I hurt my foot" Lauren added.

"I don't believe this nonsense. Even anything you hurt her. You're a monster" Mike yelled wrenching his daughter's broken hand from Y/N's grasp.

I'll show you a monster Y/N growled standing up so quickly that the chair she was sat on fell to the floor.

"No" Lauren shouted standing up. The couple stared at each other.

I can't control it right now, I'm too angry. I told you it's my hormones

"Take a walk. Or a run" Lauren hinted. Last time Lauren told Y/N to go on a run she felt so much better. She ran around the forest for hours before returning to Lauren and cuddling under the stars in Y/N's garden.

"Just don't bring back any more rabbits" Lauren half joked as Y/N kissed her forehead and strode out of the hospital room.

"It's true?" Lauren nodded as both her parents sat down.

Lauren began to tell them about the day she hurt her ankle. About the wolves and her saviour, Y/N. Lauren spoke so highly of Y/N as she told her parents that she'd always had a crush on Y/N, how Y/N stood up for her that day at school.

Lauren parents didn't even know that she got bullied at school.
