Midnight rain

As we walk on the wet pavement.
We hear the sound of thunder.
We got to a hotel were we made a payment.
We checked in to our room and hugged as we went under the duvet.
We helped each other and protected the other from pain.
As we lay together listening to the midnight rain.
We shattered the chains that bound us to others.
We tied ourselves together and marveled at the strength we gained.
We danced in our lightning lite room.
Our passion filled dance showed our love through the pain as we danced together in the midnight rain.
We hope that this night never ends.
But we knew it would come to a close.
Our bond so strong we feel the messages our love sends.
When the morning comes we will still be laying together and see were our day goes.
After that night we go back home.
We love each other to the point of pain.
We can hear the love in our voices tone.
We still remember when we danced that night under the warm duvet, listening to the midnight rain.
