They look so alike.
Second of all they both like strawberry stuff, Karma like strawberry milk while Erza likes Strawberry shortcake.
Third of all we never see Karma's parents in the anime because they are 'traveling' but what if he never knew his parents in the first place and he just doesn't say that. Maybe after his birth he got adopted by the 'parents' that leave him alone in the house.
Their personalities are also pretty much the same, and even though Karma might not have any magic, he is still quite good with the knife and that shit and if he does have magic he won't just show that.
