Chapter 8: Dark Space

I got up off my knees and followed him through the door.

"Before I start training you I have a mission for you, I want you to go explore a place called dark caverns,there is a rumor that a very powerful witch started living there and cursed it, I want you to retrieve her staff,that is if the rumor is true if not then bring something back worth enough." he said.

"Alright, understood, where do I head to?" I asked.

"Here is a map and a few healing potions." he said as he handed them to me. I summoned my cloak and my gloves onto my body. Veigas then looked at me in surprise.

"Your not normal aren't you,for you to get your hands on a bound cloak and a bound weapon. You must know someone quite powerful to make those for you,cause clearly you are not strong enough to make them or find equipment like that, your quite lucky." He said

I laughed a little "Thanks, they were a gift from a friend." I replied.

"You seem like a great kid, I apologize once more for my actions." He bowed.

He sounded quite sincere,although I'm still angry about it, I will ease my anger cause oracle told me trust him. I smiled "Its quite alright, I forgive you." I said.

"Alright you be on your way now, be safe and come back so I could train you." He said.

"Yeah before I go, I wanna do some meditation real quick." I said.

He pointed up at a tree standing alone by itself on top of a hill close by. "You can go up there its very peaceful." He said

"Alright,see you later then." I said.

He nodded his head and I made my way up the hill and sat beside the tree, I looked around and made sure Veigas wasn't around and then I pulled out my spell book from my cloak. The skull on the book was glowing red, what could this mean. I slowly opened the book and words began to fill up on the empty pages but only up to page four and then it stopped creating words and the words glow brightly. I gently pressed my finger on the words and energy started flowing into my body and my skills window popped up. There were three new skills Mystic:Enhance,Star blast and Mystic:Astral link. Well it looks like I'm becoming stronger if I'm learning new skills, I grinned widely and laughed. Well I should test out these new abilities of mine, Lets start with Mystic:Astral Link first. I concentrated and muttered the spell and I suddenly got transported to an empty void space just like when I talk to oracle but in the space were stars. I looked around; in front of me stood a dark silhouette, It just stood there looking like it was staring into my very soul. It started to speak in a very deep and stern voice. It was then obvious that it was a male in front of me

"Do you really think you are worthy of my power why have you come here, leave now you still smell of your mothers milk." he said.

I hesitated a little but I clenched my fist and said "What are you talking about I didn't come here willingly, I casted a spell and got summoned here suddenly."

"What did you just say, there's no way that possible,your suppose to come through the gate unless.......... no no its not possible,there is no one alive who can do this." He said. 

The dark silhouette came closer to me and I started to feel fingers wrapping slowly around my neck, my body got lifted up into the air by my neck and I felt my neck being crushed slowly. It hurt like hell, I was trying to scream out in pain but nothing was coming out of mouth but groans of pain.

"Listen kid, what you said before was it all true? If you lie, I will destroy your soul completely to the point where you cant reincarnate or even go to the after life. " He said

He lessened his grip on my neck but still held me in the air, I gulped and talked slowly "Its true, I really don't know anything." I said

His grip tightened and the pain became unbearable. my consciousness slowly fading,my vision darkening.  Suddenly he released me and casted me aside, I coughed constantly and regained my breath after a few seconds. I looked up at him and the more I look the more the silhouette began to take form.  The darkness soon disappeared and his true form was revealed. He had a buff build and his skin is tanned,he has red eyes and his hair was a long white pony tail style. He looked intimidating like he could crush my skull into pieces with just his foot. He was shirtless and had on a simple black jeans, he had quite a bit of scars on his stomach and his sides and he had a white tattoo on his neck reaching down to his back, it was in the shape of an axe.

He looked at me,came closer and squatted in front of me "I wanna ask you one more time,how did you end up here." his tattoo glowed and an jet black axe came into his hand.

"Like I said, I only casted a spell and then all of a sudden I got here." I said.

"Alright,seems like your telling the truth, that means you must have been the same one who tapped into my power yesterday.That makes alot more sense now since you came here. Well kid If you wanna use my power then you gotta get stronger right now your weak and pretty spineless. Basically I don't acknowledge you, come back when your stronger." he said. 

"Wait,wait,wait what do you mean borrowing your power, I don't understand what you are getting at and yeah I know I'm weak but I will grow stronger,there's not a doubt in my mind." I said.

"I like that determination kid,it would be nice to fight along side you but you seem like you know nothing has no one taught you anything at all about the power of mystic?" he asked.

I sighed "Well only a little,her names oracle and I have a spell book too,I think I will be fine for the time being."

His eyes opened up wide and his jaw dropped. "Did you just say Oracle? But that cant be possible, your just messing me with me right? He said in a frightened tone.

"Uh yeah, I guess sometimes it feels like shes is in my head and sometimes it feels like she teleports me somewhere, are you alright?" I asked.

He started to sweat intensely, all of a sudden he looked behind me in disbelief and pointed.
"Y-y-y-you........ your not suppose to be alive,you were dead thousands of years ago, how are you here." he said still scared.

I turned around slowly and there was oracle standing right behind me, smiling and looking down on us.

"Well hello there Jin." She smiled at me and then she looked at the other guy and her toned changed from her usual sweet voice to deadly. "And hello to you Maricio." she said smiling deviously.

Oracle started to give off a dark aura and it formed around her, All I could have thought was who is Oracle and what is her real intention. Now that I think about it....... I don't know anything about Oracle and its starting to scare me.
