Me, Scott and my dad are standing in the woods. It's already been a day since Scott's been with us. Neither of us went to school, but it's not because my dad wouldn't let us, it's because we didn't find a reason to why. Me and Scott didn't talk much last night, I suggested for him to sleep in my room but we didn't get any. We just stayed silent while looking at the ceiling.
I see a firefly glowing a bright golden yellow, I turn to look to my side and see my dad looking towards it confused. "It's a firefly." I say. "Unusual for this region." My dad says. "It's because of Jennifer, isn't it? Just before all of this started the deer crashed into Lydia's car. The cats went crazy in the animal clinic, birds flew in the high school, it was all for her." Scott says.
"They say, animals can cense natural disasters when they're about to happen. Maybe they can cense supernatural ones as well." My dad says. "Does she scare you?" Scott asks. "She concerns me if she's willing to kill that many innocent people for her cause, people like your mother and Stiles' father." My dad says.
"Are you willing to kill innocent people?" Scott asks. Of course he is. But it's not his fault. Since the day Gerard took his sight he's been like this. My dad's just a victim, so I don't blame himabout being the way he is. "I'll kill any living thing that gets in my way." He answers. We start walking to some place in the woods and at some point we stop walking.
