"God, am I the only one who hates him?" Some girl whispers to her friend behind me. I turn and glare at the girl. "Do you mind? You may not like him but the teacher doesn't really matter. Pay attention to the material, okay? Some of us actually care about creating a future for ourselves other than prostitution," I say rudely to her and both their eyes get wide and then glare at me as if they're trying to be intimidating. Let me loose Jay, let me at 'em. I'll show them who's superior. My wolf growls, pacing back and forth, causing me to roll my eyes and turn around and face my work. I look over at Gorgia to see her awkwardly keeping a little bit of distance from me. "Hey Gorgia? Have you noticed us drifting apart?" I ask, tilting my head to the side. Her eyes immediately go wide and she visibly winces as I hear her heartbeat pick up. Within seconds, her bright blue eyes are tearing up. Feeling concerned, I put my hand on her shoulder to comfort her, only for her to shrug it off. She looks down at her paper and her hair falls from behind her ear and blocks her face from my sight. I furrow my brow and decide to drop it for the time being and get back to my work.

Once I got my lunch from the lunch bar and sat down, Jonah comes walking up and plops down next to me with a big smile on his face. "Hey Jo, what are you so happy about?" I ask, taking a bite of my salad, looking at him. He just shrugs and pulls out his own bag of food, taking a big bite of some kind of sandwich. "What do you mean? Am I not allowed to smile when I walk up to my new Alpha and best friend that I love?" He says and nudges me in the arm, smiling more. "No, that's all fine. I have no problem with it. Just wondering if there was a reason behind it," I say and take another bite. "So I have a question," I whisper, looking over at him while taking a sip of some Powerade. "Fire away Alpha," he says, adding a little chuckle at the end. "Do you know what's up with Gorgia? We've been drifting apart for a few months now and when I asked her about it today, she started acting weird and I haven't seen her around since class ended," I say, walking my empty plate over to the trash can and sitting back down with my drink. "I didn't realize anything was wrong," He says concerned. I furrow my brows, looking down at the table. "I want to help her but I don't know how if she doesn't tell me. And I don't think she will anytime soon," I say. "I'll talk to her Jay, don't worry about it," He says, pulling me into a side hug. "Hello Love, how has your day been? Hey Jonah," Brent says, coming up from behind me and kissing me on the head.

After a long day of school with a bunch of stupid humans, I'm finally anole in the solitude of my training room. I walk over to the bench press and lay down, going straight into the sets of 25. Juniper, you need to hear this. My wolf growls at me before I start hearing a conversation that's going on somewhere above me. I furrow my eyebrows and set the weight on the hooks, sitting up panting and listen to the conversation. "But Brent, you don't get it. I can't lie to her," Someone whispers, clearly talking to Brent. "Well you're going to have to. You know what will happen if you don't," He says in a threatening voice. "She's catching on, and I honestly don't know how much longer I can keep it from her," Someone whispers. I know that voice. That's Gorgia, but what are they hiding from me? I quickly pull on a tank top over my sports bra, sprinting up the stairs without a sound. I reach the living room and freeze. "I, Brent Lee Lofton, officially reje-" He freezes, sticking his nose in the air, sniffing slightly. "I thought you didn't know who your mate was," I growl angrily. "Juniper, I can explain," He says, turning around quickly. "Just stop Brent. It's over." I growl, running to the front door and pulling it open. I grab some cash of the table beside the door and making sure I have my phone then walking out the door. I look around and think for a minute before deciding to take off in a sprint, heading into town to think.
