"Well you can't have me." He says, laughing.
"That's not what I meant!!" I say, punching his arm. But he is. He is exactly like me. Other than our looks, of course. I look at him. He has kind green eyes and dark curly hair. And I have light blonde hair with blue-green eyes. We both agreed once that those were our only differences.
He holds his arms out for another hug. He wraps his arms around me .
"It will be okay"he says. "I promise."
We just stand there, enjoying each others warmth.
I open my eyes to see a man in a lab coat smiling softly at us.
"Uh... Hi" I say.
"Hello" he says holding out a hand for me to shake. Ariana...is it?
"Yeah" I say, glancing over to mason who has a worried look on his face.
"We found your match" he says smiling.
My heart drops. I don't know how to feel or react. I feel my legs grow weak, and mason must've noticed, because he wrapped his arm around me, keeping me on my feet. I can always rely on him at moments like this. I try to speak, but nothing comes out.
"Could we have a moment?" Mason asked the man.
" of course." He replies , walking out into the hallway.
Mason turns to me, grabbing my shoulders.
"I know you don't want this. And you will be just fine. And promise me, that you will give this guy a hard time. I want him to know that you aren't anyone to mess with."
" I promise" I say. And the man comes back in.
"Ready?"he says.
I nod.
And He leads me to the door. I stop at the doorway and turn to mason.
"I love you, may." I say, remembering all of the times I said it when we were kids.
"You too ari" he says as I close the door behind me.
