Chapter 3

THE NEXT MORNING

I woke up around 6:00 a.m. I just stand around for a while and think. My whole life will change and Isaac is going to be a HUGE part of it. What if I fall for Isaac and forget about theo? I can't. I promised theo that when this experiment was over, we would find our way back to each other. Besides, I just met Isaac. He could turn out to be a nasty jerk.i look at the clock. 7:30. I decide to get ready, so I will have time to drive around where I grew up.maybe seeing some of my childhood will make me feel better. I take extra time to get ready, so I can perfect every detail. I don't know why I'm trying so hard. I'm. With theo. I don't need to look good for Isaac, I thought. But I continue anyway.i hear the faint sound of my phone ringing. I walk to my room and search for my phone. I can hear the sound getting louder.

"Where the he-"

"Looking for this?" I turn around to see mason holding my phone in front of his face.

"Thanks" I say snatching the phone from his hands. I answer it.

"Hello?" I say.

"Hey." Said the voice on the other line. Chills went down my spine.

"Isaac?" I say.

"Yeah" he says.

"How did you get my number?"

"I have my ways" I can just see his smirk even though we are on the phone.

I look over at my door to see that mason hasn't left. He stands there leaning against the door frame with a big smile plastered across his face.

"So..." he says after a while. "I was wondering if I could get a ride?"

"Yeah. Of course. What time should I pick you up?" I say.

"Whenever you feel like it." At this point, I had a huge smile plastered on my face that matched masons.

"I'll be there in about an hour" I say, trying to contain my butterflies.

"Thanks" he says.

"What are two people forced to work together to create a relationship for"? I say giggling. he laughs too.

"Alright, see you later" he says.

"Bye" I say as I hang up.
