Soma looked downcast as he stared at the letter in his hand. "Earl Trancy? Just who is this fellow? And is Ciel going to attend as well?"
"Yes." Agni replied, as the sound of he horse's hooves echoed inside their carriage.
"This is sudden. I've tried to visit him many number of times. Why now?"
"Sebastian said that Lord Phantomhive wouldn't understand if you and I showed up at his doorstep out of nowhere."
Soma sighed. "That makes sense, given Ciel's condition. He has no memory of his past, including when we met. Sebastian said that to keep from hurting Ciel, we must act like nothing had happened, until his memories have returned."
"Apparently Sebastian made the same request with everyone else who knows his story."
"However far I may fall, even if there is a single thread left for me to hold on, i will use it to climb. I'll take hold of it, and refuse to give up. I am still human, I can do that much. Ciel told me that."
Agni looked at is master with awe, "Highness."
"I will not give up either. I'm going to play my part perfectly for Ciel."

Angelene's eyes blinked as she registered what the boy with striking blue eyes said.
"A costume ball?"
Alois smirked, "I have prepared for you your costume. Claude! bring out her majesty's dress."
At that instant Claude entered with a seemingly familiar white dress.
"It's the dress you wore when you performed at that Opera."
Angelene narrowed her eyes, "What opera?"
Alois glanced at Claude, who was now looking at his master with a blank stare. Claude made certain that she'd only remember her past, except for a certain boy and his butler.
"When you played Christine."
"Oh, that." Angelene blushed and smiled. "Why a costume ball, all of the sudden?"
Alois smiled, a genuine smile and brought Angelene's hands to his lips. "I am announcing our Bethrothal to each and everyone who is worthy of knowing you and me."
Angelene blinked. "Are you okay Jim?"
"More than I'll ever be, as long as I am with you. You love me, don't you?"
Angelene's gaze softened, "Yes I do Jim. But-"
"Then it is done. I will see you, when the ball starts. In the mean time-" Alois softly caressed angelene's cheeks and kissed her plump lips. "I love you."
Angelene closed her eyes and smiled, in the back of her mind, she really wanted to tell him to wait. But she had to admit to herself that given she and Alois' past, she really did love him. Why not spend the rest of her life with him? After all, he needed him.
And she wanted him to be happy.
Alois hugged Angelene, and inhaled her scent before breaking their bodies apart and walking towards the door. "I'll see you around, your majesty."
Claude placed the dress on the intricately laced bed and clapped two times, wherein the triplets along with the beautiful Hanna emerged.
"See that her majesty is dressed according to the master's wishes."

As Sebastian was about to knock on the massive door to the beautifully glistening manor, it opened to reveal a handsomely familiar butler, with golden eyes.
