Angelene stared at Angela with hateful eyes. She was really itching to kill the stupid Angel, who looked positively convincing that she was innocent. She looked at Sebastian and Ciel, who was too busy conversing with Henry to even notice her. Angelene was seeing red, while everything around her was mute.

The only thing she was able to hear was the Old lady's chant.

No. Not all white dogs are pure. Angelene thought.

She glared at the acting Angela one last time, before exiting the room to help Finnian and the others, unnoticed.

Angelene wiped a tear from her eye while she was doing the dishes as Finnian and the others spoke with Angela. She couldn't believe what was happening. There she was, the angel who ruined her life, close to her yet so far to kill. She can't make a move, and she was angry that it hurt.

She was scared.

She shakily placed the porcelain plate aside and tuned the water down, wiping her hands in her white dress and breathing heavily and shakily. If only her mom was here. If only her dad didn't kill her mom. She held back a sob as she remembered that dreadful night.

Her mom's angelic voice, the clock striking 8:00, her mother's shouts of pain, the blood on the walls, and the dark attic.

She was snapped back to reality when a bell rung, signaling that Angela was needed in the bedroom of Henry Barrymore.

When finally, the dreadful angel was out, Angelene stood awkwardly behind at the daydreaming trio who was sitting in their chairs, talking about how lovely Angela is, and how amazing she is.

Angelene scoffed. If only they knew. As if on cue, her mood changed to a happy one. She suddenly bursted out laughing, and at the same time, she had hot tears trailing down her fragile cheeks. Finnian and the other's head snapped back to her as they smiled at her.

"Hey, Angelene, what's the joke?" Bard said, taking a whiff of his cigarrette. He was clearly curious and at the same time, amused by Angelene's laughter. Finnian, chuckled lowly, joining her even though he didn't knew why she was laughing. On the other hand, Meyrin was too clever. She smiled, but she was staring at the continuous tears on Angelene's cheeks. It is as if as though she was being controlled and forced to laugh.

Angelene was laughing, but on the inside she was scared. She didn't know what to do, and she was crying. But her cry was being dissolved into laughs, as if Angela was the one forcing her to laugh. It is as if, Angela knew she was crying, and wanted to rub in Angelene's face that she has complete control over her body.

She was mocking her.

Angelene's knees gave up as her laughter dissolved into chuckles. She had her head low, as she chuckled, and as drops of water fell from her eyes to the floor.

Complete silence was heard. The Trio's smile's faded when they heard her held back sobs.

Angelene sobbed. Meyrin and the others ran to comfort her, they were clearly baffled and were worried about the fragile girl in their arms. What was happening?

Angelene wailed as Meyrin stroked her hair, while Finnian felt his eyes water from the sight. He believed that a beautiful young girl didn't deserve to have such fate she was having.

Angelene cried like she cried in the attic.

She cried like she did in Drew's arms.

She cried like she was ready to give up.

But she won't.
