Misaki

A horn got everyone's attention. Misaki's eyes slowly opened. "The call for applicants is now closed. The Hunter Exam has now started." Misaki let out a yawn before slowly stretching. "May I remind you. There is a possibility that you can get hurt or even end up dead."

Misaki looked at the silent crowd before letting out a shrug. "So if you are short on luck, then you are as good as dead. Those who wish to leave, please exit the via elevator over there." The man who was talking took a long pause, waiting for anyone to move.

The air was full of tension and no one dared to take a single step. Their eyes showed stubbornest and determination.

"Those of you who wish to take the exam, please follow me." Misaki decided to stay beside the man, just in case she lost sight of him and ended up going the wrong way.

"I neglected to tell you earlier, but I am Satotz. I will be leading you to the exam's Second Phase." "Second Phase? What about the first one" a voice said from the front of the group. "This is the First Phase, your goal is to follow me."

There were mutters in the group, but Satotz's pace started to increase. Misaki looked at the man. She was beside Satotz now, and his legs began taking bigger steps.

Levi

At the end of the group was Levi, running beside Gon as they joked around. She jumped up, startled by Leorio's screaming voice. "Come back here kid! Show the Hunter Exam some respect!"

Leorio had been currently yelling at a boy who rode on his skateboard. "Huh?" The boy looked at Leorio. "What are you talking about" the boy asked in confusion. "Why are you using a skateboard, this is an endurance test!"

"No it's not. The examiner only said to follow him" Gon defended. "Yeah, Gon's right" Levi said in agreement. "Which one is your friend" Leorio yelled in annoyance. The boy in the skateboard slowed down on the other side of Gon.

"How old are you" the boy asked. "Twelve/Eleven" the two said simultaneously before looking at each other and laughing. Then the boy suddenly did a trick on his skateboard that ended up with him running, getting the two's attention.

"Whoa" they said in admiration. "I'm Killua" he introduced. "Hello, I'm Gon, and this is Levi." Killua nodded before looking at Leorio. "How old are you, old man?" Leorio looked offended by the addressed name.

"You should never say something like that, it is..." Levi gasped, along with the other kids in surprise, once hearing Leorio announce he was a teenager and not that older than them.

"You too Gon and Levi?" Leorio said in a hurt and shocked voice. "That's it, we are not friends anymore" he announced. The three sweat dropped at Leorio's childish behavior.

"I win" the three shouted before looking at one another. They had currently had a race to see who could get out of the cave first. Now everyone was fighting over who got there first until Gon asked Satotz.

"Satotz-San, who got here first?" Satotz looked at the three before pointing towards the wall behind him. Misaki had been leaning lazily against it, with her eyes closed.

She hummed under her breath. "I would have to say the young lady with the brown hair." Misaki looked over as she was addressed. Everyone sweat dropped, not have been noticed of her presence.

Levi pouted. "Awe, I was really looking forward to free lunch" she sulked. "Hey, it's the sleeping girl from earlier. You were already here" Killua asked in disbelief. She looked at the boy before giving out a whistle.

Then she leaned back against the wall. "Hello, I'm Gon. Are you also twelve" Gon asked. Misaki nodded. Levi looked at the girl in awe.

"Wow, I didn't know that a girl my age would be in a place like this. You must be very fast if you were already here." Misaki blushed as she nodded silently. "I'm Levi, what's your name?" Misaki cracked her knuckles.

"I'm Misaki." Killua grinned. "Can I call you Saki for short?" Misaki blushed. "What? No" she said. "Saki it is" Killua declared. Misaki sighed before standing straight. She eyed everyone's tag.

The boy named Gon had the tag number 405. Levi had the tag 402 while the boy Killua had 99. She let out a sigh before leaning back against the wall.

Everyone had arrived and was about to continue walking, because they were only half close to their destination, when they were interrupted by a bloody man. "He's not the real examiner, I am" the man screamed as he pointed accusingly at Satotz.

The man then pointed at a monkey that looked exactly like Satotz. Levi could see that the man was lying once she looked into his eyes. Misaki could also tell, but only because she could feel that he wasn't human.

"See? He's a monkey, but he disguises himself as a human so he can lure people in one of his traps so he can eat you." Levi started to laugh at the foolish explanation.

The other applicants grew confused on who to believe, pointing out the inhuman things Satotz had been doing. Everything was stopped by two cards flying towards Satotz and the bloody man.

Satotz easily caught it while the other man was slit in the throat. "Any Hunter could survive that attack." Hisoka explained in an amused voice. Satotz looked at Hisoka.

"I will take that as a complement, but if you are to try to hurt the examiner again, you will be immediately disqualified" he warned. "Hai" Hisoka said playfully before putting his hands up in defeat.

The kids ran side by side, Misaki disappearing a long time ago. "Hey Gon and Levi, we should stay close to the front. I can sense that Hisoka wants to kill someone." The two didn't ask any questions, but instead said 'okay' cheerfully.

Then the two looked at each other before grinning, knowing they were thinking the same thing. "Kurapika, Leorio, Killua says to stay close to the front" they yelled. "We'll be there in a minute" Kurapika called back.

Killua sweat dropped before mumbling "bakas" under his breath.

After a while, Killua noticed the two had gone missing before sighing in annoyance.
