Aidan
I can’t believe she kissed me. In front of Rylie. In front of everyone. I could still taste her cherry flavoured lip-gloss on my lips and I hated it. I hated cherry flavouring. Not the actual fruit, but artificial cherry flavouring. Those were the only thoughts spinning through my head as I blindly followed Rylie to God knows where. I could focus on one thing only; Rylie’s soft hand in mine, leading the way. I was consciously aware that we entered a building but if you asked me which one, you’d be more likely to pick the correct lotto numbers than get the right answer from me. I was that out of it.
Rylie spun me around and my back hit something solid. I could hear Rylie calling my name and I was suddenly dragged back to reality.
“Aidan!” Rylie whisper shouted. Why was she whisper shouting?
“Yes?” I managed to reply, my voice coming out flat and uninterested. I leant back against the wall and crossed my arms over my chest. I ignored the quick beating of my heart as it recognised her presence. I was still mad at her for this morning.
I finally took a moment to examine my surroundings and realised we were in the school library, somewhere in one of the back aisles; the non-fiction section going by the lack of kids here. Whatever Rylie wanted to talk about she wanted to do in private; we were closed off from everyone by two walls of books and one actual wall. I couldn’t see anyone past the far end of our aisle and I assumed if I couldn’t see them then they couldn’t see us.
What did Rylie want to talk about in private? Was she going to break up with me and confess her undying love and devotion to Connor? I felt my heart beat quicken even more and not in a good way. The feeling made me nauseous and I figured that that must be it. She brought me here to break up with me. Oh God. Just breathe, Aidan. Don’t let her know how upset you actually are about it. It’s not like she’s your whole world or anything.
“Aidan?” I heard Rylie say. I looked at her, taking in her gorgeous face, but before I could say anything, her warm lips crashed onto mine. My body froze for a second before instinct took over and I wrapped my arms around her, pulling her closer to me. I let out a guttural moan and rotated us around so that her back was against the wall. My lips moved in perfect sync with Rylie’s and I probed my tongue gently against her lips, asking for entrance. She denied it and came at me with a furious passion, fisting my school shirt and pulling me closer to her. Frustrated, I bit her lower lip and when she gasped, I slipped my tongue inside her. It danced around her mouth, colliding with her tongue at every opportunity. I could taste the chocolate chip cookie she had just eaten and it made me hungry for all sorts of things.
I ran my hands through her hair and pulled her closer to me, pressing her back so hard against the wall, I’m surprised it didn’t fall over. My hands found their way to her hips and in one quick motion, I hoisted her up. Her legs wrapped around mine in a death grip and she pulled our faces so close together that someone would need a crowbar to pull us apart.
“Rylie,” I moaned as her hips pressed against mine, arousing a whole new set of feelings. Rylie’s lips trailed away from my lips and made their way down my neck, stopping at a spot just above my collar bone. She sucked hard and bit gently, teasing every other part of me. “God, Rylie…”
She worked quickly and when she finally brought her lips back to mine, I wasted no time claiming them as my own. My lips against hers were hard and fast, seizing every moment. She was mine. My hands slipped underneath the thin cotton of her school shirt and quickly worked their way upwards, gently massaging her soft skin. I wanted to tear off all our clothing and take her right now but considering our current location, there were several reasons that wasn’t a good idea.
