Skylar was always used to being smaller than Sammy, standing at about 5'5" to his 5'6 in freshman year. The summer before becoming sophomores they didn't really hang out alot, and Sam seemed really sad for some reason.
Skylar, on the other hand, had met this beautiful boy named Theo during the second semester last year. He had blonde hair and green eyes, and had stumbled over his words while asking her out for ice cream.
She has said yes, blushing, and they walked off towards the ice cream parlor. Meanwhile, she didn't know that Sam had seen the whole exchange, puppy eyes forming, and ran off to his house.
That's unusually when Sam quit talking to her, but she just shrugged it off. She had also asked Dean and Cas about it, they said to just leave him alone until school came back up.
Well, now it was getting crazy, because she had some interesting drama to tell her bestfriend of 9 years, so she has her mom drop her off at the Winchester household.
Dropping her bag on the porch, she raised a fist and knocked on the door. There was some footsteps and stumbling inside, but the doorknob turned and opened to reveal Sammy.
Well not "Sammy" this looked more like a "Sam".
Sam was wearing athletic clothing and towered above her. He had to have been about 6'1" now, and his muscles were huge.
"Heyyyy Sammy." She drawed out, her eyes big at the sight before her.
"It's Sam, Sky." He grunted out, letting her come into the house. He led her up to his room, that now looked different than before.
His old room was a soft yellow, with white dressers and a nice bed, geeky posters littering the walls, books thrown everywhere. Now, it was a deep maroon, with black furniture, and a white ceiling. He had a large bookshelf on the far left side, that held hundreds of books, and a black and white desk near by. If it was anything to go by, Sam grew up over the summer.
Skylar sat on her bed and looked up at her now taller friend. His jawline had sharpened also, his shoulders broadening.
"What the hell have you been doing?" Sky questioned, wondering what made these changes.
Sam shrugged his shoulders, sitting down in his swively chair at the desk. "I don't know, honestly, but I've been working out and eating healthier. I want to try out for the football or baseball team this year."
Skylar's mouth opened in surprise. "Really? I was going to try out for the cheerleading team. You know what, tryouts for the football and cheerleading team are on the same day. How about we go together?" She suggested.
Sam did his "sure why not?" face and laughed. This continued their amazing friendship.
DAY OF TRYOUTS
Sam stood in his athletic clothing, again, and went running, making the tackle on the 40 yard line.
"GOOD JOB WINCHESTER!" Coach Morgan called, blowing his whistle.
Sam let the guy under him get up, rolling off. He stood up, helped the other guy, and they walked back to position. Coach came up to Sam and spoke.
"Hey, Winchester. You think you could try out wide reciever? Your brother here, Mr. Quarterback, wants to see if you can do it."
Sam's eyes drifted across the field to see Dean passing to other players, his spiral tight and locked.
"Sure, Coach. Tell 'em to give me the best he's got. And set up some defense, will ya?" He said, then went and got ready, his haunches locked and ready.
