30 minutes later, Clary was still lying down on the infirmary bed when Brother Enoch came in.

"Oh, Brother Enoch! I thought-- we were expecting Brother Zachariah." Maryse blurted out, surprised.

Brother Zachariah is... currently unavailable. Clary could tell that Brother Enoch spoke in all their minds, because surprised passed over all of the faces.

I was called for Clarissa Morgenstern.

"Yes, Clarissa received a message from her mother, Jocelyn Fairchild, to return to their house immediately. Only when she got there she was nowhere to be found. We believe that Sebastian Morgenstern kidnapped Jocelyn, along with her fiancé Lucian Greymark. Clarissa fainted when she got to the house, and we were hoping you could see why. Clary has gone through much worse than this, and we don't see why she would fall unconscious for something like this." Maryse explained. "Clarissa is stronger than this."

Clary was shocked. She never thought Maryse thought so highly of her, but Maryse was right. Why did she faint? She had been through worse than this.

I will try to make sense of this. In the meantime contact the Clave and explain the situation to them. Now you must all leave. I need to see what I can recover from Clarissa's mind.

"No. I'm not going anywhere. I'll stay here with Clary." Jace said as he held on to her hand tighter.

In order for me to fully understand this, I must be left alone to work. You know how the brotherhood work, Jonathan Herondale. Now leave.

Jace looked down at Clary uncertainly. She squeezed his hand reassuringly and let it go. "Its fine, I'll be okay. Go figure out who took Mom and Luke."

He nodded at her. "Okay." I love you, He added without saying anything. She could feel his love for her just by looking into his eyes. She smiled back at him and looked over at Brother Enoch.

"Lets get this over with."

As Isabelle walked out of the infirmary, she caught sight of Simon and pulled him over away from the others.

"How on earth did you get into the institute? Its hallowed ground, Vamps can't get in here."

"I don't know. I think when I drank Jace's blood, it made me able to walk in daylight and enter the Institute."

"That's nuts." She exclaimed. A mix of disbelief and confusion crossed her face. "You might not want to let the Clave find you out. Or Raphael, for that matter."

"I won't, I'll be careful." He promised.

"Good." She said, satisfied. "Now come on, I have a new recipe I want to try, and I have a feeling--"

"I don't really eat food anymore. It kinda loses its taste." Simon reminded her.

"Right, silly me." She looked over at Maryse and Alec, then back at Simon and bit her lip. "Come on, I might have something you might like."

She saw Simon scrunch his eyebrows together in confusion as she led him into her room. "Why are we in here?"

"Because, you're hungry." Simon started shaking his head immediately. "No. There is no way I'm going to let myself drink your blood again."

She sighed at him and rolled her eyes. "You've done it before. Why can't you do it again?"

He shook his head at her. "Why do you want me to?"

She bit her lip and hesitated for only a second. "Because I want to kiss you, and it's kinda hard to do that if you haven't been eating anything."

He looked at her incredulously. "Well you could have just asked." Simon moved toward her with his vampire grace and speed until he had pushed her back up against the wall. As she swung her legs around his hips, she felt his lips push against hers. Hard. She kissed him back with the same ferocity as he kissed her. She felt his fangs come out from their sheaths, and poke her lips almost painfully. She pulled back from him the slightest bit and pulled her shirt up over her head."Go ahead." she pulled her hair around one side of her neck and put the other side up to him. Simon looked at her unsure, hesitated for a split second and then sunk his fangs into her neck.

She qasped, it wasn't painful exactly; but it still surprised her. After a moment he pulled back, swallowed, and looked at her. "Are you okay?" She nodded at him. "Yeah." Then he kissed her again, this time though it felt differrent. His kiss was more dilebrate agains her mouth. A few seconds later she felt him pick her up and move over to her over to her bed. He pulled back as he layed her down softly on her bed. She pulled his T-shirt off his body, as soon as it was off she started kissing him again.

Jocelyn woke up to a sharp pain in her head. She sat up, and looked around. She was in an odd, unfamiliar room with dark red walls, dark hard wood floors, and a luxurious thick black comforter. She looked next to her on the bed, peacefully sleeping was Luke. That's when it all came back to her; Sabastian coming, Jocelyn texting Clary, and then... black. Jonathan Jocelyn thought. Oh my God. "Luke! Luke! Wake up!" She shook Luke. "Luke!"

"What?" He groaned, still groggy from sleep. "Oh, my head." He brought a hand to his head, and winced. He then looked around and then at Jocelyn, his eyes going wide as he understood what happened.

"Are you okay?" Luke asked immediately. She nodded at him. "Are you?"

"Yeah, my head hurts, but that's about it."

"What do we do?" She asked, already strategizing. She figured out why she thought it was odd. "There's no door."

His eyebrows drew together in confusion. "How--" But before he could say anything, part of the wall shimmered, like water, and a man stepped through it. As soon as Jocelyn saw who it was, her blood froze. Jonathan.

He smiled warmly at her. "Hello Mother."
