Violets P.o.V.

My arm hairs were being jolted, as I felt a foreign hand touch my arm. Opening my heavy eyes,
all my eyes could see was the wooden roof,
covered with wood, hay, and I'm suspecting mud.
My eyes unfocused as I tried sitting up.
Only making my body shut down, and sink into the bed I was on.

"No no, don't move." A soft subtle voice had said.
I glanced over, seeing a boy with his hair tucked into a little straw hat.
He had to have been no older than 12 years old. He had bright green eyes and full eyebrows.
But something was off about him, his hands were awfully tiny. Tinier than it should be for a boy his age.
His face wasn't formed the way a normal boy's face would be.

His clothes were torn and old.
Beat up, is a better word.
A dark blue sweater hung over his boney arms, and wore light beige pants, from what I could see.

I sat up a little bit, making the boy gasp. He tilted his head down to where only his straw hat and his bottom lip and chin were showing.

"Do you think it's safe for you to be in here?"

I whispered, looking around to make sure no Lost Boys were around inside .
I could see a boys head from outside the window guarding the door but that was about it.

"They told me there was a girl here, didn't believe it." The boy spoke. Something was off about the way he spoke, lighter more feminin-

"Oh my gosh, are you a girl?"
I whispered, as my eyebrows furrowed.

The boys eyes found mine, pierced into mine more likely, He, well she, blinked rapidly and pressed her index finger to her lips,

"Yes. But no one is to know, it's already dangerous enough that you're here, let alone Wendy, but me? I'd be dead, people like me don't survive places like here. Let alone special treatment."

Overwhelmed, my heart began to leap, "Special thr- what? Danger- I can't deal with this. I need to get out of here, you need to help me."

She sighed, taking off her straw hat, her light brown hair falling to just below her jaw. Straighter than an arrow, every strand of her hair. I envied it. She ran her fingers through her hair and rolled her eyes,

"The islands on lockdown. No one can leave.. for now. I was thinking that we could stick together. I'm not really friends with anyone, only a bystander I swear. That's all that I'm allowed to be. No one knows except you and.."

I blinked twice, "And?"

She shook her head, "Not important. But I swear that I-"

I groaned, "Alright help me up." I said pushing off the covers over my body.

She looked at me confused, "But I haven't finished-"

I covered her mouth with my hand and grabbed her hat from her lap putting it on her head, "You convinced me barely and I have no reason to trust you, girl. But I believe you."

She smiled, showing her slightly crooked front teeth, with two dimples being exposed on her face as her leant out her hand helping me up to my feet. I grabbed onto her other hand as I felt the needles of nerves in my feet shoot through my skin.

"Can you walk?" She asked, slowly letting go of me.

I nodded, finding my balance, I was still wearing the same clothes from earlier, which was a good sign. Didn't need to run naked through a Forrest. I looked up at her as she tucked her hair into her hat, she looked beautiful from the angle I was looking at her, she was innocent and I could tell, "What's your name?"
