[Rin's POV]
Koga just left for work, which is around an hour away.I took a look at our wall, which had all of those good family pictures. A lot of them were Taro when he was 5 or younger. Now, he's in the magical equivalent of high school, at least he was.
My phone rang. It was Willow. I don't know how she's in my contacts, let alone how she has my number. I picked it up and answered.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Rin, come to the old school, now. Er- please."
"Wait, what? Why?"
"We're looking for the kids, Alex's and Rose's are gone, too."
"And why didn't you do this sooner? This could've been stopped!"
"Well why didn't you tell us then?"
She made a fair point.
"Ugh, well you seemed reluctant too, so don't complain."
"Fine, anyway, come as soon as you can? We're going to need back up."
"Fine. Fine." I ended the call, and scribbled Koga a note.
Koga~
I'm going on a Search Party for Taro. I think this is it. I'll bring him home safe as soon as I can.
~Rin
I left the note pinned on the door and took off.
[McKay's POV]
As bright as the forest was on the outside, it was dark as heck on the inside. Grass was overgrown, weird but somewhat pretty flowers spread throughout the area. Even though it seemed dark and evil, I felt calm.
We continued to tread through the forest, until we saw something.
A cottage.
Magically preserved it seems.
"Guys! C'mon! Let's go!" I called, and raced there.
The cottage looked old, but new at the same time. I walked in. It brought back feelings I haven't felt in a long time. Feelings of home, and comfort.
"Guys, check it out!" Lia called.
"What?" I asked, walking up to her.
"There's food, but, oh gosh..."
"What?"
"It expired over 20 years ago..."
I looked over to Sarah, who was digging in.
"sARAH ARE YOU INSANE?! THAT'S OVER 20 YEARS OlD!" I freaked out.
"It tastes fresh though... C'mon, I'm hungry." Sarah whined.
"Okay, if you don't throw up in the next 2 hours, we'll know its safe, or this is a dream."
Josh pinched me.
"oWW! What was that for?!"
"I was getting the dream thing out of the way."
"jOSH!"
"Hey, now we have one less thing to worry about." Taro added.
I sighed. "Yeah, we do, I guess."
I heard a scream, it was Connie!
"aHHhhHhhHhhHhHHHHHHH"
"cONNIE ARE YOU OKAY?!" I yelled/asked/I don't know what the heck I'm doing so please help meeeee.
"jOsH COME HERE!"
"wHA- wait a second, is that...? hOLY-"
"cALM DOWN!"
"Both of you are the complete opposite of calm, what the heck is going on?" I asked again.
Connie held up a little ghost cat. "It's Dusk!"
"Dusk?"
"She was our Mom's ghost cat when our parents went to school."
"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, yeah I knew that."
"Wait... wait a second," Josh said. "Connie get the other one."
"Wha- OhHh! Okay I'll be right back."
What the heck is going on?
Connie brought out another cat, who looked like he was older , but was as young as ever, probably due to the magic aura around the cottage, black and white cat.
"X- XI-LAN? Ho- HOW ARE YOU ALIVE?!"
The others looked at me like I was stupid. "I'm not stupid!"
Connie laughed like I made a reference.
"What?!"
"You know what? Nevermind."
