We can easily forgive  the child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when  grown men are afraid of the light.  -Plato

The lights start to turn on as the night begins to envelop the city. A silver shine stretches to the sea. Gotham appears so much calmer from above,  I think to myself. The light sounds of the city echo throughout my apartment. My simple thoughts get interrupted by the sound of the doorbell. I get out of my seat and answer the door. Just as I suspected Adele and Spencer sit eagerly at my doorstep.

"Why aren't you wearing the glamorous blue dress I gave you" Spencer asks.

"I didn't really feel like going out tonight. My stomach feels ... uneasy" I reply.

"That is the same excuse you used last Friday, Pru" Adele snickers.

"I just don't feel safe anymore" I confess.

"I get it Batman is gone, we are all scared, but that doesn't give you an excuse to become some hermit trapped in your apartment for the rest of your life" Adele comforts me.

"It kind of does" I answer.

"Bull!" Adele exclaims, "Now lets get you into that beautiful blue dress" She cheers.

Before I can object I find myself being dragged over to my closet where the dress  lies awaiting for me. It is beautiful. It's navy blue silk seems emphasizes my bright  blue eyes and the shape of the dress highlights my curves perfectly. I strap on my heels and before I know it I am ready for a night on the town.
