Jenna's POV:
Monday came around, and the house was in panic. It was 68 degrees outside, which meant jeans and t-shirts. I picked out my blue blouse, black jeans and my new black Chuck Taylors. I put on the fedora I bought and grabbed my backpack. I quickly picked up my new jacket as well. The guys were up earlier than usual, which completely threw them off.
"Got your phone?" Pete asked.
"Yep."
"bag?"
"Umhm."
"Lunch?"
"Got it."
Joe checked his watch.
"Alright its 7:34. Lets go."
"Wait, all of you are going?" I looked at them.
"Yes." they said in unison.
We piled into the car. I kinda felt excited about it. I was going back to a physical school building. Pete started dozing off in the car, but Joe woke him up by tickling him on his neck.
"Jesus!!!" he jumped.
I high-fived Joe.
"I'm not a morning person." Pete mumbled.
"I can see that." I giggled.
Andy pulled up to the green and cream colored school. A water fountain sat in the middle.
"Shore view high school." Patrick stated.
"Sounds incredibly snooty." I looked at the girls drinking out of Starbucks cups.
"Yeah, well stay away from them." Pete warned.
"Ok. I'm off then." I opened the car door.
"Jenna." Joe called.
"Yeah?"
The guys looked like they wanted to say something, but hesitated.
"Um good luck, high school can be pretty brutal." Patrick said.
"I'll remember that." I gave them a peace sign and left.
I didn't notice how nervous I was until I stepped out the car. My legs felt like jelly, and my throat went dry. Kids walked by not noticing me standing there in fear. I forced my legs to move, and walked towards the building. I went straight for the main office to the front desk.
"Hi I'm Jenna, I'm supposed to meet with Principle Meyer?"
The old woman looked at me annoyed.
"Sit over there." she pointed to the bench.
"Thanks." I murmured.
I plopped down on the wooden bench.
"Don't worry 'bout wrinkles over there she just needs a retirement." A girl said next to me.
She was wearing black boots, a red t-shirt and had red hair.
"She does look a little old." I shrugged.
"That or she's sick of seeing my face every week."
"Every week?"
"Yep. I manage to get into trouble at least once a week. Sometimes twice."
"What'd you do this time?" I was starting to regret to talk to this girl.
She hissed at me, showing her fake teeth. I flinched a little.
"Threatened a security guard that I would make him join my eternal cult of the dead."
I grinned a bit.
