*Mettaton's POV*
I got home from my show, it went surprisingly well, considering Sam lost his script. I went to the lab for my scheduled check up with Alphys before I had to do another show. Papyrus was sitting with Emoji, he was with Sans and Grillby. I sat down on a stool and Alphys opened my soul compartment she placed some sort of device to my back and my soul... I never really learned the name of it. She shocked me,
"Mettaton, it seems l-like your determination readings are off the charts. Alright... l-let's see here..." she said gripping my neck and opening another compartment in my back.
"Alphys... you know it really hurts when you do this..." I said twitching.
"I know... but I need to do something." She said jamming a screw driver in my back. Or at least that's what it felt like. I whimpered, Papyrus ran over to me and held my hands.
"Papy..." I said. I started sweating and I felt weak.
"Alphys... I have a show in 2 hours..." I said weakly.
"This check up will only be one hour, then you can rest for another 2 hours." Alphys said softly. I squeezed Papyrus hands as Alphys messed with my wires. I pounded my fist into my leg and screamed.
"Humans must have extraordinarily difficulty with pain." Undyne said.
"Humans have much greater pain receptors than monsters." Sans said. I whimpered again. Papyrus held my hands, I sobbed. Papyrus held me.
"Dose it really hurt that bad?" Alphys said. I nodded... Papyrus looked at Alphys and mouthed something. She nodded,
"It'll be over soon... I just need to untangle some of these wires. Alphys took a tool and carefully started to unravel my wires... I felt myself loosen up... quite literally. Papyrus walked up to me and her rested his head on my chest. I felt weak and tired. Papyrus held me in his arms. Alphys eventually finished, then she lied me down on a bed and placed my back in a tray of ice. Papyrus lied in bed with me, he snuggled up to me. I breathed in and out softly. Papyrus rubbed my stomach, it made me feel so warm... so fuzzy. I was happy, I was okay... I was safe. I'm with Papyrus... everything is fine
