Abby's POV
"Everything set?" I ask and the three girls nod.
"Hunter?" I call and he pops his head through the open window.
"Ready?" he asks and I nod.
He carries me down and lays me on the ground so my head is on a pool of fake blood that's covered in my scent. I link the girls and they climb on the roof. I look up to the window and see that Brie kicked the glass in. Inside the room the walls are covered in fake blood covered in our scent.
"Blake!" I yell.
I shut my eyes and put up my wall. I take quiet breaths and keep as still as possible. This is probably one of the worst pranks to pull on your mate but it's the funniest, at least for us. I hear footsteps and then panicked voices.
Blake's POV
"Blake!" I hear my mate call and I spring out of my seat.
The boys follow me and we race up the stairs to the guest bedroom where they're at. I fling the door open and gasp at the sight. The walls are covered in blood and I sniff the air. My mate's scent is mixed with Brie, Rina, and Lexi's scent. I look to the window and see it smashed. Glass covers the floor and I rush to the window. On the floor is a silhouette of a girl with black hair. Lexi has auburn hair so I know it must be one of the triplets.
"Connor, Evan," I call and they're by me in a second.
"One of our mates," connor breathes and we jump through the open window.
Connor runs to the girl and I'm five feet away when the smell hits me. I fall to my knees right next to my mate and tears fill my eyes. There's so much blood around her and it's even in her beautiful hair.
"Where are the others?" Evan whispers and Connor just shakes his head.
"Lexi?" Logan calls, "Lexi?"
"Abby," I whisper caressing her still warm face.
"We need to find the people who did this," Connor growls.
Just then a bunch of water balloons come out of nowhere and hit all of us. I look up and see the edge of an auburn ponytail.
"They're on the roof," I yell and the three boys race up to the roof.
"We're sorry!" we hear the girls call.
"What's wrong with Abby?" I call up.
"She's fine!" They chorus and I look down to see my mates eyes open.
"Hey Blake," she says trying to lighten the tension, "Nice seeing you here."
I growl, "Do you know how worried I was? What were you thinking?"
She sighs and sits up, "I'm sorry, Blake."
I'm furious with her, a simple sorry won't fix this. I walk away from her, ignoring the sound of her calling my name. I get to the tree line and shift, turning to see her tear filled eyes turned in my direction. She reaches out a hand but I turn and run deep into the forest.
