(watch the video at the very end. that way it makes sense! also for those who want to know you just need the song but I like Hetalia so...)
*rewind approximately half an hour*
"Artis. my arm got twisted when I was doing something earlier so can you let go of my hand please." Gwen asked wincing in pain from trying to use her right arm to pick up her bus pass from the bottom of her bag. I let go of Gwen's good arm to inspect her bad one. 'She has swelling all around her wrist, elbow and most likely shoulder.' I thought to myself as I contemplated how it had happened. ' How could she have twisted her arm that badly?! unless..' "Gwen does your mum abuse you?" I asked nonchalantly normally I would trust her to tell me if she was in trouble, but recently whenever she got injured she would go very quiet about how it happened. Slowly Gwen turned her head the other way, neither confirming nor denying my suspicions. But I knew the answer already. It was an answer I dreaded. It wasn't until today I realised after 4 years of knowing her. Gwen was abused by her mother. "Gwen," I pleaded knowing she would brush this off like always as a freak accident where her mum had 'accidentally' grabbed her arm as she tripped forwards and broke her arm, as well as dislocating it. "You have to tell somebody. If the board of governors knew what their chairwoman was doing." I was cut off mid-sentence by Gwen screaming,
"Well, they don't Artis! And they can't. Not now that mum's position is already on the rocks without me. That would just give her the final push to actually seriously hurt me." I could tell Gwen was scared. Heck, I don't think I'd ever seen her so terrified and vulnerable in all the time I'd known her. Silently I conceded as we walked off the bus towards the cafe. Gwen, who could no longer bare the pain of a dislocated shoulder and broken arm, dropped her bag to the floor outside the cafe and started whimpering in pain. to be truthful I had very little sympathy for her because she chooses to withhold information from me concerning her current state. Never the less I picked up her bags and carried them with my own inside before guiding Gwen behind the counter to grab some ice. sadly when we reach the ice box it's empty so I pop out two ibuprofen from my tablet box and hand them to Gwen with a glass of various liquors. 'If this doesn't help,' I thought to myself silently.' at least it will get her high enough for me to pop her shoulder back into place. Quickly Gwen took the tablets off me and thanked me for the 'water' as she drank it to wash down the tablets. As soon as she swallowed the mixture she realised her mistake and started arguing with me.
"You fucking spiked it?!" she screamed. Anger seemed to pour out of her as she tried to scream at me again but all that came out was a soft "Why do you feel the need to fucking spike my drink, so I talk about my mum accidentally pulling my arm?" Gwen had always seemed so emotionally strong. somebody who could carry the world on her shoulders. but seeing her this way. seeing her look almost dead from pain bleaching her face white. That angered me the most.
"Well if your mum is so nice and sweet why is she abusing you?" I scream, almost in tears of frustration at the laissez-faire attitude Gwen seems to have for her own health. Gwen realising the impediment the drugs had given her just shook her head. I kept on yelling at Gwen not quite registering the three people who had just entered the cafe. As I kept on yelling at Gwen I saw her head go up as Emmy walked in.
"Morning Emmy!" Gwen exclaimed as loud as she could given she was still recovering from the meds I gave her not 30 mins ago and waving at Emmy with her left hand. I looked at Emmy concerned silently begging her to bring Gwen's injuries up to hear her opinion. she seemed to bat this away, though. "Morning Gwen. Artis. So what are we eating today? Pancakes? Toast?" She replied happily. I craned my head towards the window. She knew what I was trying to say as we saw many of the girls from our school laughing at us from outside. She quickly flicked her wrist and the blinds went down. "So Gwen," she sighed looking at her right arm which was still on the table. "care to tell me what happened for you to have a broken arm?" As Gwen started talking she waved her hand over Gwen's arm setting the bone in the correct position and casting it over. Little did we notice the old man who had seated himself in the corner of the cafe.
"So have you guys worked out what you want to take for finals next year?" Emmy asked smiling. Emmy always was the more studious out of all of the group only almost matched by her twin Galia. Silently Gwen and I shook our heads. All Gwen wanted to do was Sew, Cook and do parkour. where as I just wanted to study get my grades and fence. I should probably mention dear readers that I am the European Champion at Sabré and foil, and I only missed out by a hair at being champion at Epee. but oh well.
Suddenly I saw a shimmering gateway appear on the wall.
"The fuck is that?" Gwen yelled pulling us away from it but we seemed to be pulled closer each time. Abruptly three men grabbed hold of Emmy, Gwen and I. so the fight was on. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Gwen being picked up by a shaggy black-haired man in his late 20's early 30's. 'That's a really fucking bad idea' I thought to myself as I saw Gwen flip herself over to bite his arm taking out about a 4cm diameter circle as she landed on the floor.
"Gwen you are not a fucking piranha!" The man I was fighting and I screamed in unison. 'How the fuck did he know she was called Gwen?' I thought to myself as I slid across the floor to my bag, where my Epee is always ready for practice. but before I could draw it, the man who was fighting Gwen and the man I was fighting both held my hands behind my back. I looked over concerned to Gwen and Emmy. Gwen, who had dealt and suffered the most injuries was conscious but limp and slung over a tall blonde guy's shoulder. And Emmy was levitating above the ground in a shimmering chrysalis. Then just as I was about to scream they pushed us all through the shimmering gateway and into what looked like a field.
'this is just baaa-rilliant' I thought to myself as I saw an unconscious Georgie and Lucy on the floor. 'well if we're gonna be stuck here for a while I might as well enjoy myself' I thought to myself, so as soon as our captor's backs were turned I got out my iPod and started to play my randomised Avicii playlist.
