The trip to the Hospital (4)

The next day as Kayla was about to leave for school she heard yelling, she knew it was her parents fighting again because her mom went out last night and got super drunk. Kayla then heard her dad yell at her mom "get the hell out! You're not a good mom. These kids need someone who they can look up so not someone who goes out drinking and doesn't get back till I'm about to go to work at 6:00am! Kayla was used to them fighting by now but this time it hurt her a little more.

Kayla's mom went up stairs and walked into Kayla's room and said something that would break Kayla's heart. Kayla's mom said "Your father and I are breaking up" Kayla held in her tears and said "I know, I heard. Kayla's mother left her room so Kayla could finish getting ready. As soon as her door closed Kayla broke down into tears.

Kayla was walking to school while listening to music to try and forget what just happened at her house. Kayla was looking down while walking trying to hide her tears from the strangers also walking,but she wasn't paying attention when crossing the street. A car was driving and didn't notice Kayla crossing and.....

Kayla got hit by the car!

*Kayla was knocked unconscious. Ava was walking to school as well and saw what happened. Ava ran over to Kayla and called 911 then Kayla's parents. Ava got the licence plate down because the guy who hit Kayla drove off!*

Kayla woke up in a hospital not knowing what exactly happened. She saw that she was in a room and there was someone on the bed she just couldn't figure out who. Kayla saw her mom,dad and Ava sitting in chairs. Kayla walked up to them and said "Guys,what's wrong? Also who's in the hospital bed?" No one answered. She ask again a little bit louder. Kayla turned her head towards the door as the doctor walked in. Her parents and Ava looked up at the doctor with hopeful eyes,which soon turned into teary eyes when the doctor said "Kayla was hit really bad which caused her to go into a coma. We don't know if she's going to wake up or not, she has a 35% chance of living. I am so sorry." The doctor quietly left the room to leave Kayla's parents and Ava alone. As soon as the doctor left the room Kayla's mom started balling her eyes out. Her dad was trying to be strong but he couldn't hold in his tears anymore, he let it all out. Ava stood up walked over to Kayla and held her hand and cried. Kayla didn't know what was going on because her body was on the bed but she could see everything happening, she could see the doctor, her parents and Ava. It made no sense to her at all. Kayla sat down in a chair and just listened to what her parents and Ava had to say to her. Ava stepped outside of the room and called Connor. ( since the others were in school Connor told everyone else) Connor immediately called an Uber and all of Kayla's friends went to the hospital (they just left school! Ha ha ha)
When they got there Connor ran up to the front desk and asked where Kayla's room was and the nurse knew exactly who he was talking about. She led them right to the room. Connor knocked on the door, Ava answered the door and everyone came in. Everyone gave hugs and started talking. Everyone was crying and they took their turns going up to Kayla on the bed and saying something to her.
