So I'm doing a big project that goes with the song "The Reynold's Pamphlet" for the musical Hamilton. I want to do it digitally, but I hate doing line art on screen... so I decided to do the project in two steps.
Right now, I'm drawing each of the 8 characters separately for their line art. Above we have Philip Hamilton (top left), Aaron Burr (top right), Angelica Church (bottom left), and Elizabeth Hamilton (bottom right). The next batch of characters will be Jefferson, Madison, Maria, and Hamilton.
After I draw each characters line art, I'll upload the pictures of the drawings to SketchClub, where I'll trace the drawings in one image and position them how I want. Then I'll color and shade and background and bam, I'm finished.
It'll be a lot of work, but I'm excited.
