Beep. Kooouuu. Beep. Beep. Kooouuu. Beep. Beep. Kooouuu. Beep. "Paging Dr. Dorian or Dr. Reed to Triage three. Again Paging Dr. Dorian or Dr. Reed to Triage three." Beep. Kooouuu. Beep. Beep. Kooouuu. Beep. Beep. Kooouuu. Beep.

I open my eyes and immediately there's a bright light in one eye. And then the other. "Hey Xi! She's ambulatory! "

He runs to me immediately, "Okay honey. We had to put you in a medically induced coma for a while. We have to talk about what's going on with you."

Confused, sore and slightly insulted with her flirting, "Honey? No. I'm not married. Am I? You don't look like my type. How long have I been out? Why am I so sore? How am I still bleeding? Why am I wet?"

My heart monitor goes wild as he responds, "Slowdown hun. Slowdown. I'm senior on shift. Marie agreed to the terms of you all being refugees when you got here. Which included the addition of changing your human anatomy to be more like us: Its metal implants to your bones and an additional 24 bones to your spine to become a tail. It does not retract for those who have had this surgery. You will get used to it."

I notice a new sensation with a tugging on my lower back, I'm completely grossed out, "That feels so weird."

He speaks to me with a professional sympathy, "Get to get used to it honey."

I writhe in agony a little bit, "I'm in so much pain." He presses a button.

I remember waking up again. To a different face. With a friendly smile, he welcomes me way too loud, "Welcome to the world of the living StarRose! It looks like that stuff is too strong for you; I lowered the dose and marked it in the chart for humans that you can't handle that much. I do rightfully apologize for our mistake in transition or translation between species I don't know what to call this."

I inquire still dazed, "How many days was I out this time."

He answers me as he starts probing and prodding me medically to make sure I'm okay, "2 days. So what do you remember from what he told you?"

I think about it and let the words stumble out of my mouth slowly,"I have a tail. Metal bones. Where is Xi he was handsome, I wouldn't mind pulling him in bed here with me."

He loses the professionalism and speaks sarcastically, "Well I hope he's not up drinking this is his bedtime. Xi and I do 12-hour shifts, unlike the other nurses who do 24-hour shifts it makes for a wild 48 hour day."

My mind becomes less cloudy, "You look so familiar. Who are you? "

He speaks to me as a friend and starts telling me many things, "It's me, Adolf! But here I'm Zeta Upsilon Psi Psi Adolf they are teaching me to be a doctor because they don't want to give us combat roles because we are refugees. Radio control has direct communication with soldiers. So I didn't qualify for doing what I know. Since I'm human first and foremost, I am your main doctor even if I'm just learning. Jobs requiring intelligence is so easy here they just downloaded it directly to my brain using my tail, once -"

I cut him off remembering something, "Xi told me that there was a lot that happened and you keep dodging my eyes. And keeping the subject off of me. You are hiding something, what is it? Don't fucking lie to me or leave something out, tell me right now!" I reach out in an attempt to pull him to me.

He looks towards the front of the room to the right of me, "Well. Marie. Do you want to tell her?"

Marie skips up from the background with a smile and tears holding my hand, "you're pregnant!"

My heart sinks and the beeps speed way up to 210/180 Nurses run in and start drawing an injection and charging electricity. Adolf shouts at them "LADIES! If you accidentally shock me or stick me, again, because you're fucking sprinting I'm going to be very Fucking upset. I'm tired of that shit ladies 19 times in the last month! Calm your tits this instant!" My heart rate returns to a slower but still high-speed rate, 187/109
