Song: All time Low by Jon Bellion

Star's POV

I walked into Marco's house, and the room we were in was a mix of the colours blue and red. "Wow." I mumbled.

"What?" He said. "Is something wrong?"

"No, it's just that I'm surprised that your house doesn't smell like smoke or alcohol."

Marco gave me a confused look. "Uhh... Thanks, I guess?"

I chuckled a bit while turning around to face him and holding onto my luggage. "So where shall I be staying kind sir." I said with a British accent while bowing a bit.

"Right this way, milady." He replied and held out his arm for me to take. I politely took it and we walked up the stairs together, hand in hand. "Your room is to the left, and my room is right across from yours."

I gave him a kind smile and walked into my room. The walls were white, and the floor had blue marble tiles. There was a queen size bed up against the wall with a gray rug underneath it. '"Where the hell did you get the money for this kind of house?" I asked.

He shrugged his shoulders and looked around the room.  "I get these random checks from my bank every week with $650."

"Hey, why don't we go out to eat? You pick the place and I'll pay fr the food." I suggested.

"Have you ever been to Five-Guys before?"

I shook my head and put some of my shirts away. When I looked at him he had a big smile crawling up on his face. Marco grabbed my arm and we ran downstairs to the car.

...

I stared at the big burger in front of me.

Toffee never let me go out to eat, so normally I'd eat salads or whatever  'healthy foods' he gave me so I could keep my skinny image.

Carefully picking up the juicy meat sandwich, I took a small bite, unaware of the tasty deliciousness that was about to fill my mouth.

I basically had a foodgasm when the Bacon Burger touched my taste buds. "Oh my God Marco. You're my guardian angel. It has been way too long  since I've had a hamburger."

He looked up at me after shoving a bunch of fries in his mouth with a concerned look. "Wait... when was the last time you had a burger?"

"I don't know, a couple of years?" When I saw my friend's reaction to my response, I almost spit out my food from laughing. His chocolate eyes were as big a saucers and his jaw was about to drop to the floor.

"I have to take you out to eat more." Marco said taking a big bite out of his burger.

I heard a bell ring, and looked over to who entered the store. There were four girls who walked into the group with, of course, Summer Keen shirts and 'Summer Keen Jeans'.

Oh no.

I slid back in my chair and pulled my hoodie on top of my head, shading my eyes from the girls.

Let's hope they see me as Star Butterfly and not Summer Keen.

"Are you okay, Star? Who do you see?" Marco said glancing around the store.

"Just a, umm.... ex." I lied.

"Mmm." He tried to say with his mouth full.

I waited until the fangirls left with their takeout order to take off my hood.

"So how did your get the reputation 'Bad Boy'?" I asked watching him devour his burger whole.

Marco licked his fingers before responding. "Well, I had been known as 'the safe kid' which you already know. If there was a loose tile or locker open, I'd make sure nobody got hurt from it. But once I started to date Jackie around three years ago, that's when everything changed.

"She was hanging out with the wrong group. As a good boyfriend, I went with her and her 'group' and they did drugs, smoked, and... some other things. Which took a big toll on me and how I behaved. Next thing you know I get in a fight, and everybody's calling me the 'Bad Boy'."

He chuckled a bit before finishing his story. "Nobody messed with me after that."

"Well, I'm stuffed, so I'm going to go pay for dinner. Meet me in the car when you're done." I said heading up to the counter.

Marco's POV

I was cleaning up where Star and I were eating when two police officers came up to me. "Excuse me sir, we're wondering if you've seen someone who looks like Summer Keen." The one officer held up a picture of the famous popstar.

"Sorry but no."

They looked at each other then back at me. "Okay, but please call dispatch if you hear or see anything about this girl."

"I will, see you later." I waved to them before heading out to the car where I saw Star sitting in the passenger seat on her phone.

"It was crazy weird. These two police officers came up to me and asked if I had seen 'Summer Keen'. I mean, why would she run away in the first place? She has a lot of people to do stuff for her, and Summer earns money just by singing." I said.

Star looked up from her phone and stared out the window in deep thought before saying anything. "There must've been a good reason for her to run. Maybe something happened and she couldn't take all the fame coming at her, you know.

"Like the concerts, having to be perfect in every single way, or the stupid-ass-mean-no good-back stabbing-managers!!" She practically screamed the last part, and when her eyes caught the sight of mine, she relaxed and sighed heavily.

"Sorry it's... it's complicated."

I forced my eyes to keep their focus on the road. "Everything is."

"You ready for you first night for having Star as your roomie?" She made a cute face at me and giggled.

"I don't know if I should be happy or scared." I laughed.

"Well, you shall see... MWAHAHAHAHA!!!" Star rubbed her hands together and ran out of the car when I pulled into the garage. I watched her as she struggled to open the door. I dangled the keys in my hand and she pouted, wanting me to open the door.

I laughed some more as I got out of the car and walked up to Star and unlocked the front door for her.

"Thanks!!" She yelled running into the house.

I shook my head with a big smile on my face.

This is going to be a long night.
