On the Spring solstice, the Goddess of the Harvest, Demeter, had once again cried out in pain. Not because she was hurt, but because she was giving birth to her last child, Persephone.
The rest of her children, Desponia, Arion, Plutus, Philomelus, Eubuleus, Chrysothemis, and Amphitheus, were all demigods. half god, half human, while the child she was birthing was pure goddess. Daughter of Zeus.
As the child grew, her beauty was recognized all over Olympus. It was said the goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite, had gifted her to be noticed by many, as her fate had decreed, she will be noticed by many suitors.
However, the fates had also stated that Persephone could only be handled by one man. No one knew who the man was. Demeter feared that her daughter would be taken away from her, so she locked her away deep within the forest away from Olympus where no god could see her.
Persephone's P.O.V
I stood in the tower of my mothers Palace. It had felt like Eternity since she placed me in this retched place. The only thing keeping me company was the forest nymphs. I sighed in boredom. Every day was the same, wake up, read in my study, sleep, repeat.
I had begged mother to take me with her to Olympus. I remember little of the grand place. I visited the beautiful architecture structure when I was younger, but out of no where, mother forbid me from stepping foot on Olympus.
Anyways, I was in my study, reading 'Sparta And The Art Of War - By: Ares' while looking out my window only to see trees. Miles and miles of trees.
I heard galloping, my head perked up and looked closer out the window to find my uncle. Chiron.
"Chiron!" I shouted from my widow.
I ran out of my study and down to the main hall to greet the centaur. He chuckled, "hello Persephone," he greeted then led me back inside the palace.
No wonder why mother favored Chiron. Both would never allow me to leave this stupid palace.
I sat on a vine covered chair in front of Chiron while he just walked around, his hooves tapped on the tiles in a steady beat.

Tap tap...
Tap tap...
Tap...
"Where is my mother?" I asked, Chiron replied, "She is in a meeting at mount Olympus right now, she had requested I watch over you till she comes back at sunset."
"Sunset?" I asked.
Great, my time will once again be wasted. Might as well send me to the fields of punishment, mother! This feels like punishment enough!
"Persephone?" Chiron asked. I turned to him, he extended his hand.
"Would you like to go out for a right through your mothers fields?" He offered.
I nodded quickly.
"Anything to get out of the palace, Lord Chiron," I said, then we went out to my mothers garden.
Chiron had galloped off with other nymphs, I wanted to explore deeper into the forest.
Smelt the presence of salt water.
An ocean? I didn't notice a ocean anywhere near my mothers palace.
I heard voices near the ocean.
"Have you been watching her?!"
An angry woman's voice said.
"Amphitrite, I beg of you, do not place a curse upon this child!"
Amphitrite? She's Poseidon's consort? So does that mean the male voice is Lord Poseidon himself?
I haven't seen him in years. Like every other Olympian, I've only met them once at a young age.
"Go and be a bastard of a husband you are!"
Then I heard water splashes.
I wanted to peak through the bush, I was tempted, but something in my gut told me what I was about to see would be very unpleasant.
I took the risk. I moved some of branches from the red shrub. I took a peak and...
My face heated up. Not because lord Poseidon was handsome, but because the lord of the sea had his genitals lose.
My eyes were wide open, my hands on my cheeks.
Oh my Olympus! Oh my Olympus!
I had just seen another mans GENITALS!
"Hello?" Lord Poseidon called.
"Is anyone there?" He asked.
I wanted to respond but I felt too ashamed.
I had just seen lord Poseidon's GENITALS!
"Whoever it is, I am decent now," he said.
I breathed in. "Um... l-lord Poseidon?" I called softly.
"Yes, I am thee. Now, state who you are," Poseidon said.
I heard him come out of the water and onto dry land.
"Excuse me-. Demeter?" Poseidon peaked over the shrub. He thought I was his sister?
"Wait a minute, your not Demeter. She doesn't look that young," Poseidon said.
"R-right," I stuttered.
"I-I'm Persephone," I said.
My face was still hot, did he know that I had seen his genital's?
"Persephone? My, child you have grown," Poseidon said.
I nodded, he offered a hand, I took it and he pulled me up.
"Where is your mother?" He asked looking around.
"Oh, she is at a meeting," I said.
"Ah, the meeting for the goddesses," Poseidon said, I nodded then turned away from the sea god.
"Uh, I must be going now," I said, then just as I was about to leave, I was yanked back and pressed against a tree.
I gulped, my eyes widened into lord Poseidon's sea green eyes.
"Your just going to leave me like that?" He asked. I looked away from him, he was too intimidating.
"I-uh-l-lord," I stuttered.
My fear got the best of me, me knees buckled down at the gods feet.
Poseidon chuckled.
"Get up child," he said then held me against the tree.
I couldn't look at him, I couldn't.
The god whispered into my ear.
"Do not worry about my consort, you are the only one I favor," Poseidon said.
A tear shed from my eyes.
"Please, release me," my raspy voice pleaded.
"Poseidon!" My mothers stern voice boomed.
I turned, my mother and Chiron were standing in the garden, mother's eyes narrowed at the sea god who was clearly on my mothers domain.
"Ah, sister, I was just paying my lovely niece a visit," he said.
Mother had raised her hand, bones snatched Poseidon and threw him into the ocean.
"Persephone, inside, now," mother said deeply.
I gulped then nodded. Mother, was not the type of person to mess with.
