(Tyra Banks as Demeter)
(Theme song: Rise - Katy Perry)Persephone's P.O.V
I sat in a chair while my mother ranted about how repulsive lord Poseidon was acting towards me.
"My poor child! He didn't touch you like that? Correct?" She asked.
I nodded.
She sighed in relief.
"This is why I didn't want you anywhere near Olympus, my repulsive brothers and other olympians are just horny bastards who care about nothing but their sexual needs," she said.
"Now Demeter that's not-"
"You may not talk Chiron, I specifically told you to watch out for Persephone, and look what happens, that water god I call a brother had nearly molested her!" Mother scolded the centaur.
"My apologies, however, keeping Persephone cooped up in a palace cannot go on for eternity. She must wed soon, or else lord Zeus will choose her consort," he said.
Consort? Is that what they husbands and wife's always been called?
"Mother?" I asked, she looked at me, "yes my child?"
"What is a consort? The true meaning?" I asked.
She looked away from me.
"Consort... there is no feeling to your other half. Like Aphrodite and Hephaestus, they are only together out of business. Consorts feel nothing for their other half, they are just there. However, lovers, such as... Zeus and Hera I guess, not like Zeus cares much for his wife considering how many times he cheated on her, but still, Hera loves Zeus, and she shows the true meaning of being a wife," mother explained.
"What about lord Poseidon and lady amphitrite?" I asked.
"They were like that, until you were born, and Aphrodite had to gift you with such beauty," Chiron explained.
I gulped for my final questioned.
"What about... Lord Hades?" I asked.
The rooms aura got dark.
"Sweet child," Mother said as she took my hand.
"Do not speak of Hades in the topic of love. He is the god of hell! He could not feel love, even if Aphrodite came knocking on his door step and dosing him with a potion, it wouldn't affect him. He is the coldest of the cold. The cruelest of the cruel. He does not love anyone or anything. He only uses for his own personal needs," mother said.
My face paled. This man, Hades, sounded cold and heartless. I shall find a husband who deserves me, and is caring and passionate for me, a man who will not go off cheating on me.
"I best be off," Chiron said as he walked out of my mother's Palace.
"Chiron, the next time I ask of you to watch over my child, I prefer you watch her closely," Mother said as she glared at him. He nodded then left.
As soon as he left, I asked my mom the question I've been waiting to ask her for years.
"When can I go to Olympus?" I asked.
She choked.
"Persephone! Did you not remember what had just happened today! You want to go to Olympus!? Are you mad?" She scolded.
I looked her in the eyes, "please mother, my coronation of becoming a true goddess is coming up, I'd at least want to take a look around Olympus," I pleaded.
