My first story sucked.
Sorry if you liked it, but it needed a serious makeover.
So I present to you the rewrite *applause*. This rewrite was born from blah, blah, blah. . .Enjoy!

Since the beginning of time it has always been the same. The strong rise up and the weak kneel down. It's just the way it is.
People would disagree, of course they would as most like to think themselves special.
Well obviously they're special, everyone is.
But. . .
Does that really make you powerful?
Hmm. . .
It depends. Do you work everyday to achieve greatness? Then you're determined. Do you never think towards the darkness in the world and always look for a silver lining? Then you're optimistic. Do you never let the opinions of those around you stand in the way of you being, well. . .you? Then you are strong-willed.
But does that make you powerful?
Maybe yes. . .
But, then again. . .
Maybe not.
Power is what we believe it is: physical strength, mental strength, emotional strength, it doesn't matter you decide.
After all, it is not my strength. . .
Ah, we seem to have strayed from the story.
This isn't about me, you, or your neighbor's dog (no matter how loud it gets).
This about a girl.
Not just any girl, but a special girl.
A girl who had grown up only learning the cruel part of human nature.
A girl who had grown up seeing only her faults.
A girl who's only lifeline was a boy who barely acknowledged her existence.
A girl who desperately worked for strength, shedding metallic, bittersweet blood, countless tears, and gallons of sweat.
Yet, her efforts still seemed fruitless.
Her family constantly belittled, beat, and spit on her for it. For her weakness.
For her compassion.
For her fragility.
For her existence.
But she simply took it all with sadness evident in her eyes, her form, her tears.
Did they care?
No!
To them she was a mistake, a failure, a default.
Why should she matter to them?
And so the girl remained alone.
When school started for who did she have to lean on, to support her?
An unknowing crush, a hateful cousin, rows of ill prepared female classmates?
No!
She remained alone, coldly and bitterly alone.
When the time of time assignments came up did she at least get to stand by her crush? Did she at the very least get to face the cruel world with him?
Hahaha, no.
But no matter, her teammates were kind enough and she could continue to watch him from a far.
She always had.
Do you know how painful it is to realise that you will never be your crush's dream girl, that even to them you will never shine brighter than that girl or that boy?
You may not. . .
She did, oh yes the girl knew very much that someone else held the heart of the one she admired and desired.
And she could never be her.
Now you might be annoyed by how I haven't mentioned any names, if you are be angered not, I shall fill in the blanks.
Once upon a time- No, that sounds cliche. . .
Long ago- No, that's still not what I'm looking for. . .
Ah ha!
Time. It's an ever moving stream that brings all elements of life: the good, the bad, and the unknown. It's a driving force in our lives that changes us for the better or worse. It gives us gifts of new life and takes away those we have had for too little or too long. It stops for no one, no matter how we will it to be so. It teaches us things that we'll most likely need and may not use: morals, honesty, and self-esteem (I need more of this ;-;).
But while time is the best teacher it, as I said before, can also be the best taker. It will take our friends, our family, and our childhood. It will want in return for what it has given and sometimes take more than it gave or simply play with the lives of the innocent. It can take people's lives and grind them away til they're nothing but soulless husks.
Some can rise above it.
Others can not.
But one girl will do something strange. . .
She'll remain kind through it all.
She does her best to ignore it.
Yet, she still smiles those fake smiles.
Oh yes, Hinata Hyuga is a strange one.
A strange one indeed.
She's been spit on, ignored, outlasted, beaten, and nearly killed by a family member who hated her very much, yet she loved him so.
Hinata Hyuga gave up before. . .
Now she's not going to do it ever again.

♢Hello, hope you like this story so far I guess. . .
It's pretty short though, I'llbe working on that in the future. . .
