Hi?
DISCLAIMER: I own nothing but the story. Don't sue me. I have about as much money as I am worth, and that's not much.

Unknown to most (actually all) people Hinata was a pessimist.

Surprising, huh?

She was a person who weighed both the Pros and the Cons. Though she would usually put more thought and effort into the Cons list before trying to make like a Naruto-kun and look on the bright side. This, to others, meant that she held some small (very, very  small) amount of confidence in herself during most situations of mortal peril. But there was one problem in this statement (actually if you ask her, this statement was just incorrect in general). . .

Hinata had very little confidence in herself (none actually).

How does this tie into the current issue, you may ask. Well. . .

Ok, Cons first-

Possiblity of escape through any exit. . .none.

Strength in numbers, three to one to their advantage .

Skill level comparison. . .I don't have a clue but it's most likely in their favor.

Um, Pros?

At least I can use my chakra. . .

Uh, I have my Byakugan even though it's currently useless, and I doubt-

Wait, what the hell!

Hinata's eyes widen in shock (and horror and fear) as she took a closer look at the ghostly pale woman's eyes. . .

They were Hyuga eyes.

They were Byakugan.

The woman's eyes, which had been focused on the small cup of heated beverage (Hinata didn't know what it was, so she couldn't just assume it was tea), moved upwards to meet Hinata's in a icey, unfeeling gaze.

The potent chakra returned.

Hinata struggled to breath as the room was filled to the brim with the presence of the woman's overpowering chakra and killing intent. Her body trembled violently as she crumpled to her knees with her hands clawing at the floor in attempt to keep herself upright. Her pupils were blown wide as looked around the room desperate for an exit.

Cons, she mentally stammered while her eyes continued to dart around the room as though she were a caged animal.

S-she has byakugan that probably works, she owns an inhuman amount of chakra, her can probably stare into your soul and see how weak and pathetic you are and how much of a disappointment you are, and you're gonna die-

. . .you're gonna die. . .

. . .you're gonna die. . .

. . .You're gonna die. . .

Hinata's heartbeat increased tenfold, but not for her fear of the woman in front of her, and not for the fear that she might die. She was afraid of what would happen if she died.

Would her family ever change?

Would her sister ever know how much she loved her?

Would Naruto ever discover her feelings?

Would her teamates mourn her?

Would her peers mourn her?

Would her family mourn her?

Or worse. . .

Would she be forgotten?

Hinata's heart stilled. Her quivering hands were slowly balled into fists with her nails digging deep into her palms. Her trembling worsened as the horrible thoughts began to run circles around her mind.
