Hello again, lower lifeforms- I mean fellow human-beings, yep that's what I meant. . .

Here is chapter 4! *applause* (sorry it's late i got writer's block)

After the bathroom episode, Hinata stumbled into the shower to prepare herself for the day, the bad feeling in her gut never leaving.

Once she had finished attempting to wash away her terror from the night before, she exited the bathroom still feeling the aftershocks of the lucid nightmare plaguing her mind and body.

After getting dressed, Hinata stepped out into the hallway and was unsurprised to find it silent. Heading towards the dining room, Hinata slowly stumbled down the hallways while still trying to rub the sleepiness from her eyes.

"Hiashi-sama!"

Hinata turned towards the yelling voice, only to be shoved roughly by a sprinting branch member. Realizing his mistake the branch member abruptly stopped, spun on his heel, and bowed deeply to her.

"My deepest apologies Hinata-sama," he said before he continued his rush to her father's office. Hinata blinked curiously before she stood up and decided to resume her walk to the main branch dining area. Now fully awake, Hinata couldn't help but wonder what had just happened.

Once she had finally reached the dining area, she was unsurprised to find that Hanabi had reached the room before her and was now having an apparently deep conversation with one of the elder branch members. The girl had been hanging on to ever word the senior had been saying with an almost childlike gleam of wonder and curiosity in her eyes.

Before she spotted Hinata, that is.

As soon the presence of her older sister had been noticed, she turned to stare at her with an cold, guarded look in her eyes. Almost as though the very existence of her sister was a crime.

And to many it was.

"Good morning, sister," the girl with an air of cool elegance, "I thought i had heard noises of distress this morning when I passed by your room. You did sleep well, did you not?"

Hinata looked down and shifted nervously before replying with a short shake of her head, indicating an obvious 'no'.

Hanabi and the Elder shared a look before turning away and continuing their conversation.

Hinata sighed and turned away. She would eat breakfast somewhere else, anywhere else if only to avoid the stares.

LINEBREAK

Hinata walked through the village in search of a suitable place for breakfast. She blended into the crowd seamlessly with her head held down slightly, her eyes hardly moving as she scanned each area, and her mouth only moving when she murmured her own thoughts on every food stand or restaurant she past. Among the throngs of people she seemed no different .

So of all the people could have gotten run-over was she the unfortunate victim.

She had always had the worst of luck.

Hinata had been standing in front of her favorite bakery trying to determine whether or not she should get a cinnamon roll despite the fact she had recently eaten one, and then-

CRASH

Hinata was quickly thrown off her feet and fell headfirst onto the ground below. She let out a short groan and began to attempt to pick herself up from the ground. She blinked to try and stop the feeling the world spinning around, but it was no use. While stumbling to get on her feet, she heard voices, rather unpleasant voices that seemed to be screaming at each other.

"-call that medical ninjutsu. I call that a weird fetish for teeth to skin contact. If you really want someone to fulfill your strange sexual fantasies, use great white. Not Sasuke-kun."

"You wouldn't understand how it works, so how 'bout you stick punching dirt, pinkie!"

"I'll have you kno-"

"Could you both stop screeching at each other, I'm sure everyone has a headache right about now!"

"No one asked you, pig!'

"You wanna go, billboard brow!"

Unfortunately all the voices were yelling at each other in the same high pitch and loud tone, leaving Hinata with a horrible sense of vertigo which left Hinata's head pounding. Hinata looked up only to see blurs of colors, shapes, and appendages. She blinked a few more times til everything was less blob-like and more in focus. After a blurry seven seconds shapes began to appear more clearly and the world slowed down its spinning. When her vision finally seemed completely still, a large hand grabbed her shoulder and pulled her upwards a little too fast, leaving her feeling dizzier than before.

"Hey, sorry about- Hinata?"

The voice was familiar, but at the current moment Hinata was too dizzy to comprehend what was happening. Her world once again became almost still and Hinata turned in the direction of the voice that had just spoken.

Choji stared down with a mixture of concern and worry.

She couldn't tell if the stare was actually for her or the fallen bag of chips on the ground beside her though.

Then his eyes shifted and remained on the chips and he then proceeded to bend over and pick them up to probably eat them.

'Well then,' Hinata thought before beginning to pick herself off the ground, feeling slightly hurt, yet not surprised, that her friend had chosen a bag of (probably stale) chips over her.

The forgotten hand on her shoulder apparently wanted her to get up faster and had brought its equally as large brother.

The two hands were placed under her armpits and she was lifted up as though she was a small pet being held by a child. It didn't help that not even the tips of her toes touched the dirt; she was suspended in the air.

She really didn't want to be in this situation.

"Hey Hinata-chan!"

On second thought, maybe she could stay for a little while longer.

Hinata, slightly dizzy or not, knew that voice.

His voice.

Her head swiveled to the left, revealing the cheerful blonde in a blaring orange jumpsuit she so desperately adored.

Naruto-kun.

She couldn't (she never could) stop the blush that blanketed her face whenever he was near her.

Usually his presence was enough to hold her attention during any, and most likely every, conversation that involved him or that he was involved in, but today something else caught her attention.

That something else was the wanted criminal beside him.

The wanted criminal who had abandoned Konoha years before when they had only been children released into the harshness of Shinobi life only months before.

The wanted criminal who had nearly killed Naruto-kun.

The wanted criminal by the name of Uchiha Sasuke.

Perhaps she should have eaten breakfast in the Compound.
