**Aubrey's POV**

It was Thursday night and I was chillin’ at Abel’s house with the crew. I called up one of my most trusted friends, Tatyana, to watch over Ezabel since I knew Nicki’s ass wouldn’t do shit. We were all sitting in his living room smoking cigars and watching college basketball.

“My nigga, what the fuck was that!?” Tyga yelled at the screen to one of the teams. There was a chorus of groans and teeth sucking.

“Yo, Tyga, chill. It’s a fuckin’ basketball game.” Abel puffed out some cigar smoke and laid back into the couch.

I took a puff of my cigar and rubbed my hand over my beard. I know Abel didn’t really want us to pay attention to no damn basketball game, so I guess I was the only one who was going to ask him what was really up.

“Yo, Abel. Let me ask you something right quick.” I sat up and looked over towards him.

“Wassup?” He blew out his cigar smoke and glanced at me.

“What the fuck are you planning? We need to do a drop or some shit?” I inspected my cigar and looked back at him.

“Nah, nigga. It’s something different. Matter of fact, everyone needs to listen up.” Tyga turned down the game and all of us listened. “We gotta go to Hartford in Connecticut...my brother Greg is hosting a tattoo party and he wanted all of us to come. So we’re gonna go. Plus, we could do some drops there, you know, pick up some extra money.”

Wait the fuck up. Hartford? Shit...I’m not ready for this. “Uh, nah nigga, I can’t go. I got my daughter to think about…”

Abel stared at me. “Then nigga, I suggest you hire a fuckin’ nanny. We’re going. Don’t let me lie to my brother.”

I nodded and took another puff of my cigar, even though I felt nervousness rising in my stomach. I wasn’t ready to confront my past, especially after two years. Then again, I doubt if I’d ever see her. I mean it’s Hartford, plenty of niggas live there, so the odds of me seeing her are fuckin’ slim...right? Then again, what if I do see her? What the fuck was I going to say? Hey, good seeing you after all we’ve been through. Sorry. Hope you aren’t fucked up too much. I shook my head and blew out cigar smoke.

“Anyone else got sudden excuses?” Abel looked around the room. All the other guys shook their heads or just looked towards the T.V. “Then it’s settled. We’re all going. We’re leaving  for four days. We leave for the plane Friday morning. Make sure ya’ll niggas ain’t late. Drizzy, don’t forget the shit.”

Fucking great.

-------The next day----

“Thanks Taty...I’m sorry but it’s only for four days. I know it’s kind of last minute ,but thanks for coming.” I was getting my duffel bag ready for the little trip Abel randomly set up. Tatyana was leaning against the doorway, watching me.

“It’s fine. I love that little girl anyway. She’s like family to me now. Besides, we both know Nicki wouldn’t do shit if you just left Eza with her.”

I chuckled as I went over to my night table and put on my silver Timex watch. “Yeah I know. My little girl would be starving and shit...I’m not around for that.”

“Trust me, I know. Um, where is Nicki at anyway?”

I shrugged. “I don’t know. Probably at the studio or some shit like that.”

“Exactly my point.”

I gave Taty a knowing look. “I know you’re point all too well.” I checked my watch to give myself a time check. It was 9:50 A.M., which meant I had about 20-30 minutes to get to the airport and meet up with the crew. Plus, I was supposed to bring some of the supply with me and with Abel’s dumbass, of course he didn’t think about us getting caught. So now I have to think of another way to get our supply through security checking.

“Drake you okay?” Taty came up to me and laid a hand on my shoulder. I looked down at her and nodded.

“Yeah, yeah I’m fine. I just get stressed out sometimes, but I’m fine. Go check on Eza because I gotta go.”

“Alright..” She gave me a tight hug and patted my back. “Have fun!”

I chuckled. “Iight. I’ll try.”

“Don’t come back with no weird ass tattoos now.” We both laughed as I grabbed my duffel bag and phone. She stopped at the top of the stairs and said another goodbye. I nodded to her and walked down the stairs. I grabbed my keys off the side table and walked out the door.

I pulled up to the airport and parked my car in one of the reservation parking lots. I got out and pulled my duffel bag out the back seat. I had the stash wrapped around some clothes, like bundles and bundles of clothes. I rubbed my nose and walked into the airport. I spotted Abel and the guys getting their tickets.

“Yo!” Trey waved me over.

“Wassup, wassup?” I dapped everybody up and went to go get my ticket. I came back over to everyone.

“Yo, you got the stash?” Abel asked me.

I nodded. “Yeah, but I got it bundled up and shit. So we don’t get caught because of your dumbass.”

“Whatchu mean?” Jermaine asked.

I rolled my eyes. “Stupid over here forgot that these niggas could detect drugs.”

Abel sucked his teeth. “Man, I just forgot iight? Drop it.”

I shrugged my shoulders and dusted off my black jeans. I checked my Leopard Head Oxford shirt and adjusted my black and white snapback. My timbs were alright so I didn’t worry about those much.

“Flight 416: California to Connecticut now boarding. Please exit to Terminal Five. Flight 416 now boarding.” The intercom announced.

“Iight niggas, let’s go.” Abel grabbed his stuff and led us all to the terminal. We passed through security, surprisingly, and walked up to the terminal. I gave the lady my ticket and she smiled at me.

“You can continue Mr.Graham...I hope you have a nice flight Papi.” I raised an eyebrow at her and she giggled.

I chuckled. “Ah ha, thank you Honey.” I winked at her and caused her to erupt in a fit of giggles.

“Nigga, let’s go. Stop flirtin’ with your light skinned Romeo ass.” Tyga said from behind me.

“Iight, iight. Damn.” I walked towards the plane and got on. I could have took my own jet, but I figured that would be too much. I walked past coach and straight to first class along with everyone else. I sat by one of the windows and placed my duffel bag on the seat next to me. I took out my phone to see if I had gotten any messages.  I noticed I had one picture from Taty.

“Eza misses you already!” I tapped on the picture and an image of Taty holding Ezabel popped up. Taty and Eza’s faces were squeezed together and they had huge smiles on their faces. I smiled to myself and typed back a quick message.

Gonna miss you guys too. Take care of my little girl!

I closed out of my messages and turned to look out the window. Going to Hartford wasn’t going to be easy, and I still felt like I didn’t want to go, but I was already on the plane, so there’d be no way for me to leave now. All I could hope for was just to not cross my paths with her...no matter how much I missed her.
