**Aria's POV**

Aubrey and I arrived at the coffee shop in just ten minutes from the hotel. But being with him in that car felt like hours. Especially after that contact we made with the radio. I could just feel every emotion..every memory spark between us again when I looked into his eyes. It felt weird...but it felt good too. I know I shouldn’t be saying that, but I couldn’t help it. It just did.

I parked the car and we both got out. I heard Aubrey mumble “Damn…” and I turned around to give him a look.

“Stop lookin’. It’s not for you, remember?” I raised an eyebrow.

He smirked. “Iight Ma, but don’t blame me for admiring something I love.”

Oh he was trying his best to get back into my good graces...hell to get back with me period.

“Shut up Aubrey. I’m a committed woman, don’t play that shit.” I walked into the coffee shop and Aubrey followed right behind me. We walked up to the counter and ordered our food. I got caramel Frappe with a cheese croissant, while Aubrey got a coffee with milk and two sugars, and a cinnamon bun. I sat down at one of the tables in the back while Aubrey waited for our food. I took out my phone and I already had three messages from Ace and one message from my mother. I tapped on my mother’s message first.

Hi Honey.  Just figured I’d text you and say ‘goodmorning’ to my only daughter. Plus, I have some news for you so if you could come over later, I’d love that. Robbie’s on a play date, he won’t be home until later.

-#1 Boss Mom-

I smiled to myself as I scrolled to Ace’s messages. That was nice of her...I wonder what she has to talk to me about though…

“Here’s your stuff Ari.” Aubrey set my drink and food down in front of me. He sat across from me and began eating his cinnamon bun. We ate in silence for a couple of minutes, with me slowly chewing my croissant. Aubrey cleared his throat. “So, wassup? How’s life been treating you?”

I wiped my mouth with a napkin. “Well, it’s been okay really...I guess. I’m living with Ace now and seeing my mom and Robbie regularly. I go to school too.”

Aubrey raised an eyebrow and smiled at me. “Oh really now? What you learning?”

I smiled. “I’m learning about fashion design, but also about marketing too. I’m only in Community College, so I’m working towards  graduating from there and putting that knowledge to work.”

He nodded slightly. “That’s wassup. I know when you were with me, not much schooling was getting done…”

I coughed. “Let’s not talk about that….tell me what’s up with you? What you been doing lately?”

His eyes drifted out the window for a minute and then back to me as he chewed his food. “Iight, well, I had a daughter...of course. Her full name is Ezabel Camille Graham and I absolutely love her to death. I would do anything for that girl, possible. Um, I’m with Nicki…”

I scoffed. “No surprise there…”

“What?”

“Nothing. Keep going.” I took a sip of my frappe.

“O-Kay…, Well. I’m not in the entertainment business anymore.”

I almost choked on my drink. “You’re not?! Why?!”
