--Abel's Home--
-Aubrey's POV--
--Saturday Afternoon--
“Abel. I can’t stay in Cali. I have to move.” I sat in front of Abel at his kitchen table, his main bitch was making us some food to eat while we talked.
His eyes were looking at me, but I could tell he wasn’t to in to the conversation. “You’re moving?”
“Yeah. I have to be with my girl, man. I can’t be in this game no more.”
He nodded and then looked away. “So I guess you just abandoning the bros right? Leaving us for some girl?”
I bit the inside of my cheek before leaning back in the seat. I wasn’t trying to make it seem like that, but I guess my actions do speak louder than my words. I love Aria, but I can’t love her thousands and thousands of miles away. It’s just not possible for me.
“Y-Yeah. I guess that’s what it is.”
“Why the fuck did you get yourself into this huh? You wanted to make some quick cash to provide for your ‘family’?” Abel’s temple twitched, signaling to me he was getting mad.
“Nah man...well a little. I wanted in the game because I needed something to do. I needed to occupy my time. You know this.”
“It doesn’t matter what the fuck I know. All that matters is that you made a commitment to the game and me nigga. You got that? The game and me.”
Abel’s girl placed a plate down before the both of us, showcasing some little sandwiches and shit. I picked one up and ate it in one bite, chewing slowly. “Abel, I know. But I need to be out. I can’t be in this anymore.”
“Nigga, get the fuck out my face with all that shit. That’s some soft nigga shit you talkin’ right now. Abel doesn’t have time for that.”
“Okay...so I guess I can leave then? Since I’m officially out?”
Abel gave me a look that could kill.”Nigga, you out when I say you’re out. No one leaves my group without my permission. Nobody.”
I looked at him incredulously. “Nigga I can do what the fuck I want without your fucking permission. If I’m going to move, I’m going to move. Fuck that other shit. My obligation is to my baby girl and my future wife. Remember that.”
“Nigga-” Abel stared straight into my eyes. “If you leave, I’ll have one of my niggas come and kill you. Promise that.”
I swallowed. Kill me? Really? “Abel...”
His eyes turned into pools of sadistic interest. A creepy smile lurked onto his face, making my stomach churn. “No I’m serious. You leave, we kill you and your mother. Ha, don’t play with me fuckboy. I’ve got connections everywhere.”
I looked away from him and then back. He couldn’t be serious about this...about killing anyone over this. No wonder why everyone in the group just followed along with Abel- this nigga was crazy as fuck.
“Abel leave my mother out of this. She doesn’t even know I’m dealing. Or well...I was.”
“Well then I guess your ass isn’t leaving. And stop talking like you’re out of the game. You still have business to do.”
I nodded. “I guess so.”
He smiled and took one of the sandwiches. “Good. Now, how much of the stash do you have at your house right now?”
