"I've got my jersey, face paint, socks, shoes, pants. What am I missing?" I search through my room while Liz grabs one of my many Cubs jerseys out of my closet.

"Your dignity? You're really going to a game in all of that?"

"My hat!" I shout and grab my baseball cap off of my vanity.

"Em. Really. Don't you think you should cool it? At least lose the pants and shoes. It seems a bit much." Liz says.

"Sure. Okay." I snap back as I kick my shoes off and change my pants into a simple pair of skinny jeans and my shoes to my white Converse. "Come here."

Liz steps forward and looks at me. I make a quick move to put the signature stripes under her eyes. She surprisingly allows it and I put a blue stripe under one eye and a red one under the other.

"What time is it?" Liz asks.

I look towards my digital clock. "Eleven. The boys should be here soon." As if on cue, both of our phones buzz. I don't even look at the message before rushing out of Liz's room, down the stairs, and right out the front door. But instead of hitting the nice fresh air, I hit Caden.

I start to fall back but he steadies me, laughing. I jump up and down. "Stop laughing and get in the car you looser. We have places to be. Things to do. Ass to kick. Come on!" I shout and then run past him and towards Jax's car. I open the passenger seat and jump in, literally. "Drive boy! Drive!"

Jax starts laughing uncontrollably as my door opens and Caden's hands grab me out of the front seat. I violently hit his chest. "Put me down, you peasant! I need to go see my future husband kick some Cardinal ass!"

Caden puts me down and Liz crawls into the passenger seat. "Okay, that's crap." I pout.

Everyone is still laughing as I open the back door, still pouting, and jump in, not literally this time. Caden gets in on the other side and buckles in. I do the same along with Jax and Liz. On our way to the restaurant, we listen to some of the worst music I think I've ever heard. I just can't wait to get out of this car, eat, and then watch my boys play ball.

When we finally get to the restaurant, I get out of the car quickly and lose my footing, almost face planting in the dirt. Thankfully, Liz catches me and laughs. "You forgot your purse when you were running through the house. So here." She hands me my purse and smiles as Jax walks over and puts an arm around her.

"I would say 'I think I would loose my head without you, Lulu.' But quite frankly, I think I already have." I say as we all walk into the restaurant together.

The waitress seats us at a small table and hands us menus. "So what would everyone like to drink?" She begins, looking at me first.

"I'll have a Pep-" I begin.

"No, you won't. Emily just take a water. You're already full of adrenaline and caffeine won't help." Caden states.

I nod to Caden, hoping the waitress gets it. She smiles and writes it down. Everyone else orders their drinks and then we're left alone with the menus and thoughts.

As I skim the menu my heart sinks. I find the name of the restaurant and suddenly feel like sinking into a hole and crying. Fiora's. I'm surprised I didn't recognize it just walking in.

"I thought you said we wouldn't go to a fancy restaurant." I hear Liz say to Jax.

"I lied." He says.

I've heard those words here before. "I lied." Just a different mouth, a different time, a different table, a different waitress, a different outfit. A different anything. But the same everything.
