A/N: Sorry this one sucks :(
I didn't sleep at all.
How could I?
I was stuck in a car with someone who had just killed somebody in front of me and made it obvious they weren't afraid to kill me too.
I shutter passed through me and I pulled my hoodie on tighter around me.
I stared out the window, watching my breath fog up the glass every time I exhaled. The sun was just rising.
It was silent except for the car rattling over potholes in the street.
I looked over at Louis, his attention on the road.
I noticed the small lip piercing he had and the tattoos on the back of his neck that went down into his shirt.
We drove in silence for another twenty minutes before he pulled into a gas station.
"I have to go in and make a call," he said. "You stay here and don't move, understand?"
I shrugged and didn't look up.
"Eleanor..." He said and I looked at him. His expression was hard.
"Yeah," I said quietly, looking away. "I understand."
He nodded and got out of the car.
I watched him go into the station.
I looked around at the people filling up their gas tanks. I realized how easy it would be for me to go out to one of them and tell them what was going on. I could simply walk up to them and ask them to call the police. But even if I did, what good would it do me? I had nowhere to go. I didn't have a home or anyone to go home to. Still, no one was better than Adam...
I'm ashamed to admit it but ending my life had crossed my mind once or twice.
Although I had never done it, I had come close.
Now I figure, if I was ready to do that why don't I just stick with Louis and see what happens? It was better than living on the streets or not living at all...
The point was, I had nothing to lose.
I slouched in my chair and pulled out my phone, which Louis hadn't noticed I grabbed on our way out.
I was scrolling through my music about to select the Fray when my door opened and my phone was taken from my hands.
Louis grabbed me by my arm and pulled my from the car.
"Who were you talking to?" He demanded, ignoring the looks that people were giving us.
"No one!" I said, defensively. "Check my messages, I wasn't-"
"So what were you doing?" He asked harshly, scrolling through my phone.
"I going through my music. Damn, Louis!"
He glared down at me.
"Get in the fucking car," he said, walking around the car and pocketing my phone.
I huffed and sat back in my seat.
We stayed stationary as Louis was going through my phone, undoubtably checking my messages and call history to see if I'd been in contact with anyone.
It was tense and we were quiet.
After another minute he chucked my phone into the glove box and pulled out of the gas station.
"Don't do that again," he said. "I don't want you having your phone. Got it?"
I made an irritated sound but didn't say anything.
He pulled the car over on the side of the road, traffic now whizzing by us.
He turned in his seat so he was facing me.
"Answer me, Eleanor," he said, his voice stern.
"Yeah, fine, whatever!" I snapped and rolled my eyes.
Louis glared at me for a second but then he chuckled and started the car again.
"There she is," he muttered.
"There who is?" I glared at him.
"The fiery girl I followed home last night."
