Kale Pov

"I'm here, I'm a little dehydrated and I'm pretty sure I'm seconds away from a heat stroke but I'm here at exactly 9:28am" I said walking inside the place where I will be mostly spending my time from now on

"Whoa there kale,it's good that your on time but don't kill yourself"Ronnie said

"Yeah your right, sorry I'll just get started" I said walking to the back

As Ronnie stared at me
When I realized

"What am I supposed to be starting on" I said as Ronnie chuckled

"For right now register" she said

"Okay" I said making my way to the register

I stood there waiting for someone to need assistance

When a girl around my age with brown hair came up to me

"Hey can I get a medium sized mocha frappe, a chocolate chip muffin and a garden salad" she said
"Sure your total is $10.50" I said
"Your really pretty how come I've never seen you working here" she asked with a small smirk on her face
"Thank you,and I started today actually it's my first day on the job..--"i said drifting off to see her try to read my name tag
"It's Kaleen" I cut her off
"I'm sorry I mean, um i don't know what I mean actually ,just call me Kale" I said
As she chuckled
"Your so cute, I'm Melodie" she said
As I smiled
It was about 6:30 when I was about to clock out

"Ronnie I'm leaving" I said
Heading out
"Okay, you did great today kale" she smiled

I walked out and saw melodie

"What are you doing back here" I asked

" I wanted to see if you wanted to hang out sometime"she said biting her lip

"Yeah sure I'm not doing anything tomorrow so I guess " I said
"Cool" she said and with that we exchanged numbers and from there I started to drive home
