Season 2: Brand New

Note: This skips the summer season of 13A and opens at the beginning of a new school year.

Everything was about to change. Think you know everything about the kids that roam these hallowed halls? Think again. It's a new year at Degrassi, and things are about to get crazy.

A large chunk of the 2013 graduates reunited for Drew and Bianca's wedding in Las Vegas at the end of the summer, which took an unexpected turn when Drew admitted that he had had cold feet due to his mother. After having some time to think about things and sorting things out with his mom, Drew re-proposed to Bianca with the help of his friends.

After that was said and done, everyone went their separate ways again. Bianca headed off to college, and Drew went back to Degrassi for his final year, along with Connor, Adam, Dallas, Luke, Clare, Alli, Jenna and Imogen.

Becky had transferred to a different school, while Luke had stayed behind at Degrassi in order to continue focusing on his hockey career. Adam's paranoia over Becky's activities throughout their long-distance relationship led to the two of them taking a break, and after making up with her via text message, Adam crashed into a tree while sending Becky a message telling her he loved her and passed away from his injuries.

Tori had moved away over the summer, and new students Miles, Zoe and Winston arrived ready to set the school ablaze - metaphorically, of course. Zoe had her eyes set on Zig while Miles was torn between Tristan and Maya, and Winston wasn't interested in dating anyone. It was a rarity at Degrassi, but for once, someone was there for school and only school. The freshmen, Frankie, Lola and Shay, had too many problems going on to worry about dating, although Lola was still a bit boy crazy nonetheless. Zig and Zoe hooked up quickly after getting to know one another, and Zig tried asking Zoe out, but Zoe said no. Having recently been ousted from the cast of West Drive for having a drug problem, she was tired of people judging her.

Imogen was after Dallas, and Alli wasn't having it.

It didn't take long for the decision between Maya and Tristan to become clear to Miles. It wasn't a choice he made on his own, however: Miles scared Maya, and she was tired of dealing with both him and Tristan... So she backed off as they formed a relationship.

She became unhealthily obsessed with saving Miles, however, as Cam's death was still prevalent in her thoughts and memories, and she couldn't bear the thought of something like that happening again.

Despite the fact that she and Tristan were no longer friends, Maya still cared about Miles, and wanted to make sure he stayed safe and mentally stable and okay. After they made amends and Miles was free of his dad's abuse, Maya told Miles that she was glad she didn't have to worry about him anymore.
He told her to still feel free to check on him from time to time. Tristan took notice to the fact that Miles was drawn to Maya again and broke up with him. Zoe was shocked to discover that she was pregnant with Zig's child, and felt lost as to what to do, with Zig having just broken up with her. Having recently begun to discover her feelings for girls, however, she found a heroine in Grace, the friend she had recently developed feelings for, who promised to help her out in the absence of Zig Novak.
